Mario Giraud sleeps in the room he was born in over sixty years ago in Coyoacán, Mexico City. The house sits on a corner in the vibrant borough of Coyoacán and is a place where many artists and musicians come and go throughout the day. You can see the open porch from the street where friends sit at a table enjoying art and cervezas while listening to the radio or each other playing various instruments. Mario seems to be the bond between these artists offering insight as he smudges colorful pen ink, a style you can see throughout his work.

These are my traveling feet. When I do this with my feet it reminds me of two people spooning.

Happy Birthday Emily.
I met Emily halfway through my journey driving from Los Angles to Alaska. I intended to make the trip alone but when I picked up Emily hitchhiking in Tofino, BC, joining forces was inevitable. Emily made the long drive through the desolate woodlands of Western Canada tolerable, and the culminating journey through Alaska unforgettable. It was kismet that brought this incredible Australian and I together.
Stay tuned for a page on my website documenting my trip from LA to Alaska.
These photos were taken in the Summer of 2015.
