(mth observation) the fact that buttercup got so fast over butch's comments (and lusting) for blossom feels really weird to me 🙁

I think that his behavior should certainly be taken into consideration because he is a hashtag misogynist in the beginning. But taking in his character as a whole as he forms ~butch~and all that good stuff he definitely doesn’t treat women like trash for no reason you know what I mean.

If you think about it butch is a boneheaded guy and in the story the reader is supposed to have this like immediate distaste for him and I think that there’s like very little you can do to get this reaction for the reader than him being anything but that!

I made this graph one time idk where it is but butch is supposed to be like very hated at the beginning because of his behavior and attitude and all that boomer is like a good boy and slowly…but surely he has these like moments … and brick ofc is like up and down up and down like you love him and then you hate him.

but focusing on butch who does a lot of the yapping you can slowly see him turn more introspective about a certain things. He does actually have some brain matter up there he has displaced emotions about BASICALLY everything? He has unhealthy coping mechanisms yadda yadda yadda

AND we can see the reason why he specifically is going after blossom like he’s not having these outbursts about bubbles right? Blossom can take care of herself I think she gets why he’s around buttercup and for a lot of mth she has a distaste for him

i understand (loosely) why buttercup is being brought up I guess in terms of like butchs behavior and blossom is her sister but it isnt really about blossom is it? And I would say buttercup is a factor but it’s very little about her as well! (Buttercup does tend to stick up for her when he says some off handed shit tho) It has a lot more to do with brick and also butch having to prove some shit! I think as the story goes on obviously he makes less and less of these comments because his values and interests change (or rather they develop for once that mother fucker used to be so bored)

Idk this is more of an unfinished thought! Like but you get what I mean I guess like butch is not written that way for nothing! In my opinion buttercup “getting over” butch’s behavior shouldn’t even be considered KINDA?? LIKE THERES A LOT OF WEIRD STUFF THE GIRLS EXCUSED TO STAY IN PROXIMITY of the guys! Boomer and his ex gf?? Brick in general! Like he did kinda pushed bubbles into that vortex thingy MAYBE IDK! That sounds WAY worse! 😭 but right that’s the point of the story in my opinion teehee

Did you base the puffs and ruffs on actual people, or did you just put a bunch of features together till they felt right?

It’s a bunch of feature though I will say a lot of it wasn’t trial in error it’s conscious character design decisions like blossom have a long straight nose as opposed to like a button(?) one like maybe buttercup wouldn’t be aligned with her characterization and values same with bubbles and her lips is she had thinner lips like blossom that wouldn’t make sense to me

would you say the original rrb (like when HIM upgrades them, before their somewhat-redemption) are worse or the ppnkg are? like not strength wise (we all know who wins that), just sheer ruthlessness and hate for the girls and humanity?

Oh good question I think that the ruthlessness is stifled because of how much they lack? If that makes any sense so I would say the boys are not as bad also the boys are like very easily distracted and dum(b) so I mean! I think that the fact the girls have only had a run in with the punks even less times than they have had with the boys makes this complicated I suppose!

not the same person from the last one but what would Berserk and Blossom’s relationship with each other be like ? (My apologies, I don’t know if you’ve answered one like this in the past before !)

Oh yes I think the berserk is controlling like blossom is but berserk is an instigator so I thinks she uses other variables around her to do her bidding. But all in all it’s a lot of manipulation and undermining of intelligences. I do think that they might be the last to get violent but like blossom, berserk is incredibly quick witted and strong. I think berserk is very unpredictable too but to blossom because they’re cut from the same cloth is very easy to read. Oh a good example of how berserk is to me is maybe azula if I’m not explaining things right

What are the relationships’ like between Buttercup and Brute / Bubbles and Brat?

Buttercup and brute: violence. Brute is trying to fight someone strong and she knows buttercup is as strong as her so no greeting no nothing brute is fighting. Buttercup thinks she’s just too much all three of the punks are pretty flamboyant and extra I guess I think she finds it cringey that someone that looks exactly like her is that annoying LOL (brute does have better muscles than she does tho I think could also be a point of contention)

Bubbles and brat I think brat is jealous(she’s always jealous) and bubbles is trying to convince her she’s like not that interested which makes it worse. It is likely brat is trying to get on her nerves but bubbles is not that easy which brat is not smart so shes just frustrated …and then violent
