But really though that kid clinging onto the flag and whispering Superman had me IN TEARS, especially knowing that Superman could almost certainly hear every word. I also had a “wait is this about Palestine? OH this is DEFINITELY about Palestine” moment

I went to an arts uni, while there I was on a dating app, some guy from a stem uni close by had a picture of himself with a robot, his profile only said “I’m engaged and only looking for friends, I build robots and will show you them” so I messaged him and said “ayo I would love to see your robots”.. well fast forward several years, we are best friends, I’m also now besties with another stem guy through him, I was in his wedding, him, his wife and their baby and our bestie just travelled my way to hang out for my birthday. We plan to make a robot/sculpture collab one day. BEFRIEND STEM PEOPLE THEY ARE VERY NICE AND MAKE COOL THINGS USUALLY, OR SOMETIMES LAME THINGS THAT YOU CAN TEASE THEM ABOUT.

Shoutout to Superman (2025) for making it incredibly fucking clear that Superman is for good people. He’s hope. He’s love. He’s supportive. He’s an immigrant. He supports Palestine. He loves animals. He protects children.

The movie is a light. If you’ve been feeling really depressed about the world lately I’d highly suggest watching Superman.
