the fact that peg is literally reenacting/performing things bj told hawkeye…. the fact that the idealized domesticity is framed as a heterosexual one but it’s just a performance which is then viewed & shared by two men because even though hawkeye and bj aren’t watching peg’s movie alone it’s a gift from hawkeye to bj…. the fact that hawkeye keeps touching bj while they’re watching it to reaffirm his presence/role in this…. they literally just put that on tv……
