in fact, it is VERY realistic

jonathan was considered a “weird kid” and he had no friends except for nancy

he dealt with an insane amount of trauma— brother going missing, thinking his mom was going insane, planning his brothers funeral all by himself at 16 y/o, all the upside down stuff, etc

jonathan found a way to cope, and though it obviously wasnt the best option, it is a very realistic turn for his character to take

I’m as excited for loverslakegate as everyone is else, believe me. 

However, I want Mike to be deathly afraid of the water and have to push through that fear to save Will.  The trauma from 1) seeing Will’s body pulled out of water and 2) almost committing off the quarry needs to be addressed. 

I need Mike to have a whole freak out moment before snapping himself out of it in a moment of pure fear and desperation.

i know there’s nothing wrong being a casual fan of something , but lately with the s5 teaser and ga waking up for s5 i’ve been seeing so many videos on tiktok and yt about who is most likely to die and they always put will as most likely lol

like do you not understand how storylines work it would make no sense for his character

he has been sad, tortured and left out for 4 seasons like he’s not dying on top of this

and to Mike - make his whole character surround el, forget his character exists outside of byler & mileven, mischaracterise the HELL out of him, assume he’s a horrible person, claim he also adds nothing to the story, wish and pray that he’ll have sex with el, overlook his trauma, depression and anxiety and also assume he doesn’t give a single shit about Will.

i think they might do this with mike looking at will in volume one, which will show that they are endgame

this also happens in joyce’s store in either the first or second episode

Also i told my 47 yr old dad while we are currently rewatching ST to watch all the seasons through the lens of Mike being gay and in the closet, because it makes all of his "weirdness" in the later seasons suddenly make sense and he just looked at me like this 🤨 and said "um...duh??? Mike is gay, you just figured that out?" AND I WAS LIKE NO DAD. I WAS JUST TRYING TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU DAMN. Anyways my dad believes in byler endgame and he's literally a middle aged straight man so they're endgame for sure

Honestly and as a byler shipper its a bit weird to screenshot things from the mileven tag and be like "ohh its anti byler" , when I screenshot things from tt its always from byler videos. Its normal to find anti byler content if you look on the opposite ship tag, like what r u doing there?

sometimes it hits me like a bus that we know for a fact that the main character of the final season of the biggest tv show is a canonically gay character played by an actually gay actor

and his character is strong

this is actually such a huge deal to someone that had such little representation growing up. older gays had none at all. whether or not Byler is endgame (it is) this is a huge win
