He turned and watched Sue go, holding his breath for a moment, afraid she might come this way, but she just kept going. He let out his breath and looked over at her as she readied herself to leave. "You're taking off, just like that?"

"You’re very welcome." Peyton nodded and raised his eyebrows, slightly surprised. "I don’t usually leave my house except for if I’m going to work at the thrift shop on main street or if I’m walking my puppy. Maybe you’ve met my brother?"

"I’m definitely sure." He nodded. "I’m Peyton, by the way."
