Faculty of Computing(FoC),Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences had five departments, including the department of Computing and Information Systems. The two degree programs offered by this department were the BSc(Hons) in Software Engineering and the BSc(Hons) in Computing and Information Systems. On December 27, 2022, the Faculty of Computing (FoC) was founded as the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL)’s ninth faculty. Following the transfer of these two degree programs to the new faculty, three departments were established in addition to a new one.

There are three departments that comprise the Faculty of Computing. -Department of Information Systems and Computing At the Faculty of Applied Science, the Department of Computing and Information Systems was established in 2011. It provides a computing and information systems BSc.(Hons) degree program. -Department of Software Engineering For the 2019–2020 academic year, the Department of Software Engineering at Sabaragamuwa University, which was founded in 2022, is offering a BSc Hons Degree Program in Software Engineering. -Department of Data Science The Department of Data Science (DDS) was founded by Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2022 and is housed inside the Computing Faculty. Fifty students will be admitted to the university’s four-year Bachelor of Science Honors program in Data Science in 2022–2023.
