On my third cup of tea, working on my last review for the history of Sabaudian states exam I'll have tomorrow. I am still feeling nervous, but this morning the kind of review I did made me feel a bit more confident. If the professor asks me general questions and lets me take the lead with the talking I can do a good job, so I choose to be hopeful.

1.6.25

Much needed cleaning of my room for the new year after working nonstop. Glad I filled my car before the snow storm, but I forgot to wipe the snow off my car for tomorrow.
Starting reading the Iliad today. Seeing the name Minerva so often is boosting my ego.
Also practiced some handwriting and cursive today.

✨CATEDEMIA 2025 STUDY GOALS

( 🪷 ) this is to manifesting a successful academic comeback and year <3 🕯️🧘♀️🧿
→ study 6+ hours a day
last semester was super tough because i didn’t practise a consistent study schedule and as a result i had a lot of syllabus to cover within a span of a few days
→ organise a study schedule
this includes planning which subject to study when and for how long so i don’t leave myself at a complete liberty and having a predisposed schedule which will ease up the to do list for the days
→ MAKE GOOD NOTES !!!
i practised making notes for year 1 and 2 however with law a completely new subject for me last semester i didn’t know how to study for it. so now i know having good notes will be super helpful for me now on
→ get my hands on previous years’ question papers
knowing the type of questions and the topics which tend to get repeated is such a life saver in college (!!!) especially a technical subject as law. i’ll be gathering as many papers i can, we often get them from our library or we can always ask for them from our seniors !
→ ROMANTICISE STUDYING (pls)
this is such an important thing to do, for everyone student or not. law is very dry subject and hence it can be easily be a boring thing to study at a length and so romanticising it is very important to not get burned out and actually make learning fun

tired and hopeless

Namaste! I hate exams, it’s not just about the pressure but rather the feeling that engulfs me after they finish. No matter how hard I try no matter if I succeed or fail, I’m always sad and tired. I tried to find many solutions thinking maybe it’s just burnout, but burnout doesn’t last for months do they? I can’t focus and I can’t study and everything seems like a burden now. If anyone has any tips or advice please share. I would be forever grateful. ~Molly
p.s I have fallen in love with Tyler the creator’s music, ig I just found my favourite artist

Day 1 of preparing for my Master's degree!
I'm starting my Master's next month, so I'm finally starting to prepare. I'm visiting my parents at the moment so I took the opportunity to do some studying at my high school favourite cafe :) Today, I:
Started thinking of dissertation topics - there's one I'm really excited for but I need to do a lot of further reading and thinking before committing to it!;
Read an article from a list of introductory readings for one of my modules;
Finally sent a few emails I've been putting off sending for a month now.
I'll be honest, my brain isn't working too well today - I only got 3 hours of sleep because I caught an early flight this morning.

lab days are my favorite, there’s no urgency…it’s only numbers, easy mixing and tons of observations. my professor said my observations were “delightfully descriptive” in a thick British accent and I found myself flowing with ease in the calculations. who would have known I would remember things from nearly a decade ago!
I also made a new friend and I’m excited to have a study partner.
