A sincere love deliberately delivered so insincerely.
Ji Eun tak: “Mister… Do you love me?”
Kim Shin: “I can, if you need me to. I love you.”
Ji Eun Tak: “Do you hate me that much? How much do you hate me, that you’re this sad? It’s really pouring out there.”
Damn… Kim Shin… making her believe that you don’t love her! So sad!
I can absolutely understand Kim Shin’s motivations, conflict, and turmoil. He loves her, his first love and he wants to spare Eun Tak of being attached, of falling for him. He also realizes that he has to die, before he becomes happier, before his desire to live and to be with her becomes greater. Her role as his bride will crush her once she knows what that entails. Even if she was a complete stranger, to be an instrument of someone death would be soul crushing! He has to distance himself from her.
My heart goes for Eun Tak, she is oblivious to the consequence of what a Goblin Bride truly is.
