The picture was inspired by her fic  My Fear, Your Pain, which is just such a satisfying and painful bundle of hurt/comfort feels. There has techinically been no hugging… yet.

@kakairu-fest is still posting, and I wanted to rec my favorite fic that’s been posted so far:

My Fear, Your Pain by Anonymous (1/?)

Hatake Kakashi/Umino Iruka, Hatake Kakashi, Umino Iruka, Maito Gai | Might Guy, Uzumaki Naruto, Torture

Kakashi looks at Iruka and sees something Iruka’s been hiding.

It’s a hell of an opening, the hook building in small details. I loved putting the pieces together through Gai’s plan and Kakashi’s mood. I’m worried for Iruka and so interested. Read! Comment if you’re inclined; I’m hoping the author will continue it. ;)
