in my head, glinda is aroace and the only people she’s ever felt comfortable coming out to are elphaba and fiyero. they “break up” and fiyero was going to tell elphaba about his feelings, and then the whole emerald city debacle happens. glinda and fiyero basically keep fake dating because glinda needs someone near her and her springing the engagement isn’t a romantic thing, it’s her trying to force her remaining friend to not abandon her after she knows she did something selfish. her being pissed when elphaba and fiyero run off isn’t her being jealous of their relationship, it’s her starting to realize that her actions have had an irreversible consequence and she’s fighting it
