Just a little PSA for all our mental health (and chronic pain*) spoonies out there! A lot of doctors neglect to mention this little side effect, which means a lot of us are suffering extra from the heat without knowing why.

*Many psych meds are used to treat chronic pain as well, if you didn’t know!

remaking my ebegging post because despite the notecount i'm unfortunately not even half to my goal but! hi. my name's beckett and i'm a mixed race + disabled lesbian, and i work ~8 hours a night on grave shift to support myself, two partners (both of whom are also disabled), and my beloved kitty cats. i barely cover rent with the paycheck i make, and i'm also paying back a loan from my older brother, so money's very tight.

recently we had an incident involving sexual assault, and now all three of us are struggling with the recovery process. we've had a few medical emergencies and have had to call out of work to get help.

we were originally trying to replace a mattress that is now unusuable + get a boxspring for it, but it's been really difficult coping in the aftermath of what's happened, and so the mattress isn't our priority right now. i'm still going to ask for help here though, to help cover the hours we've lost from work.
