Asshole Vampire: “I simply came to see whether Rido-sama’s “doll” safe.
Shiki: I’m alright… [punctures hand with his nails so that he can use his blood as a weapon like the badass he is…while giving a menacing ‘you are about to die’ look] The doll has learned to move by its own will.
Me:
(Hope kcclaveria doesn’t mind me using this gif, but I am completely hopeless when it comes to making my own. No idea how.)

Can I ask for a scenario of zeros s/o wanting to become a vampire so they could be together forever but zeros against it for obvious reasons and they have a huge fight. I really hope you answer this.
((I’m going to use my OC as Zero’s significant other in order to answer this.))
Mai sighed as she dropped their old calendar into the trash and set to hanging up their newest one. It was a flower filled one. January was bouquet of carnations. Mai would turn twenty-nine this year; Zero would be twenty-seven. She was one year from thirty; and while she didn’t think that was old and certainly didn’t believe herself unattractive in any way, she still couldn’t help but think of the upcoming years.
She would age faster than Zero. Whenever she was forty, he would still look twenty. He would look twenty for many, many years while she aged. Mai pulled her bottom lip into her mouth and chewed the skin.
‘Zero doesn’t care about that,’ she knew. ‘He would love me still, no matter the years. But…is that fair to him? I will age quicker and he’ll remain the same. Whenever I’m sixty, he’ll look like my grandson.’ It was a disturbing thought.
Sacrifice her humanity and become a vampire or remain human? Mai felt sick at the thought of giving up her mortality; and she knew that Zero wouldn’t be receptive to the idea in the slightest; but the thought wouldn’t leave now that it had been planted.
Her eyes wandered to the picture Mai had taken with Yuuki and Zero. She was in the middle, making the contrast feel larger. Both Yuuki and Zero looked as they had whenever they were teens; Mai looked like an older sister, standing between feuding siblings instead of someone in the same age group. There was maturity to her that Yuuki didn’t have yet. It would be many years before she did.
She was pulled from her thoughts by the door opening. She looked over to see Zero entering. He dropped his keys onto the end table and searched the room for her. Seconds after, his eyes landed on her.
“How was the job?” Mai asked, pushing her thoughts of aging away. Zero sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
“The fucker nabbed a child,” Zero informed her as he approached her. His rage was still evident in his voice. “He used the girl as a shield until she managed to wiggle free of him and give me an opening.”
“Is she alright?” Mai questioned as his arms wrapped around her waist. She raised her own hands to return his hug.
“A few bruises, but she’s fine.” Zero muttered into her shoulder. “Why were you standing here staring at the calendar?”
“I’ll be twenty-nine this year,” Mai admitted. Zero leaned back so that he could see her face.
“And I’ll be twenty-seven.” She watched his eyes grow a little darker. “You’ve never been bothered by age before, why are you now?”
“What are you going to do whenever I’m sixty and you still look twenty?” Mai questioned. Zero’s arms dropped from around her waist; Mai felt their loss acutely. To combat the sudden ache in her chest, she crossed her arms in front of her.
“Mai,” Zero sighed. In her name, she heard his exasperation and love.
“Be realistic, Zero,” Mai interrupted him before he could start with his reassurances of the strength of his feelings. “I know you don’t care, that you’ll still love me whenever I look like David Brinkley, but it will matter to others. It matters to me. Compared to my aging, you are frozen.”
“I can’t help that, Mai.” Zero sighed. Mai pulled her bottom lip into her mouth again as she readied her honesty. He wasn’t going to like it, but Mai knew better than to allow their problems to fester.
“I know that. But I can,” Mai said softly, watching Zero closely. His eyes hardened.
“No.” He growled. She could see the anger in the tension of his body and mouth.
“No?” Mai repeated, eyebrows raising. Was that all he was going to say? Surely, he didn’t think she was going to leave it there.
“I won’t allow you to become a vampire.” He expanded. A disbelieving sound pulled from Mai’s lips as she processed what he said.
“You won’t allow me?” Mai snorted. She crossed her arms a little tighter and shifted on her feet so that her hip was against the counter. “Zero, you don’t control me; you don’t own me. Your opinion matters to me, yes. But you have no control over my decisions.” She reminded him pointedly.
“I’m not saying I’m in control of you!” Zero protested.
“Clearly, you think you are!” Mai returned.
“I don’t want you to become a vampire, why is that such a crime?!”
“Why do you not want me to become one?!”
“Because you’ll be cursed!” Zero exploded. “You’ll be cursed to a life of blood and pain. Outliving those that you love and watching the world move while you’re stagant, it’s a curse! Immortality is not a blessing! You lose everyone!”
“You are the only person I have left!” Mai argued. “I won’t be losing anyone!”
“Yes, you will.” Zero said bluntly. Mai felt the color drain from her face.
“Are you…are you really saying that you will leave me if I become a vampire?” She asked. Zero didn’t answer her; he just stared. Mai tightened her jaw and nodded. “Okay.” She muttered. Without waiting for him, she turned on her heel and walked out of the kitchen. Mai grabbed her purse from the hook.
“Where are you going?” Zero asked as he followed her. The anger was gone from his voice now; he sounded almost frightened. Mai tightened her jaw as she grabbed the door handle of their apartment. Without looking at him, she answered his question:
“You’ve made your choice clear,” Mai said, trying to hide how her heart was breaking. “You’d rather lose me than keep me. What does it matter when that happens, right?” She jerked the door open and stepped out into the night.
She kept her head held high and the tears at bay as she walked to her car. Zero didn’t follow her. She managed to hold back the tears and ignore the pain in her throat as she drove to an undetermined location. Mai didn’t have many friends; so, she went to the one place she knew was always open to her.
The Hunter’s Association.
She parked at the back of the building and finally let her tears fall.

Vampire Knight Characters House Sorting:
Main characters:
Yuuki Cross: Hufflepuff, but as a human she has some Gryffindor traits. She isn’t scared to find out Zero is a vampire, and she eagerly accepts the job as a disciplinary committee member watching over the Night Class vampires despite being attacked as a young girl. Still, her Hufflepuff side is very obvious when she says she will always remain Zero’s ally no matter what. She’s quite friendly and cheerful like I’d expect one to be. She, like Cross, believes in peaceful co-existence and is fairly pacifistic/idealistic. Unfortunately, as a vampire she regresses and her persoanlity isn’t quite the same…but even then, her sense of loyalty manifests itself via familial obligation(to Kaname, that is.)
Zero Kiryuu: Gryffindor(so reckless and daring) but on the other hand, he’s very loyal to a fault. He’s also more humble than your typical Gyrffindor. He doesn’t mind saving people, but he doesn’t seem to care for the fame and glory that comes with being heroic. He said once that he would sacrifice the last of his life for Yuuki, which would be both a Gyrffindor and Hufflepuff like thing to say. Gryffindor, because he uses his own body to protect her rather than other people(like Kaname) but also Hufflepuff because his undying loyalty. But yet again his chivalry makes him so suited for Gryffindor, and he lacks the typical kindness of a Hufflepuff. Still, when he was a child he seemed very kind and accepting(he thought vampires were people with feelings and asked why they must be killed.) He’s very strong willed, but maybe it’s because his circumstances hardened him so much? Like when everything bad happened to him, he had no choice but to tough things out and not give up. He says in the manga “I have to be strong” so that interpretation makes sense.
The Night Class:
Kaname Kuran: Slytherin, obviously. He is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his ends and is pretty cunning.
Takuma Ichigo: Everyone types him as Ravenclaw, but I don’t see it. The fanbook even says that his loyalty to his friends defines him, so why not Hufflepuff? He goes to great lengths to protect Shiki, even when he’s possessed. No matter how bad Sara treats him later on in the manga, he refuses to leave her side and is sad over her death. And his friendly/warm attitude screams Hufflepuff. He’s more kind/accepting than the other members too.
Akatsuki Kain: Gryffindor. He’s very protective, and the only other House I could see remotely fitting him would be Hufflepuff.
Aidou Hanabusa: Usually typed as Ravenclaw due to his genius status and love of learning, but his(at first) fanatical loyalty to Kaname seems very Hufflepuff to me. But Ravenclaw still works I suppose.
Ruka Souen: Usually typed as Hufflepuff/Slytherin but I see her as Gryffindor at heart. Why? Later in the manga, when Kaname attacks Zero she jumps to protect him. And you see, it’s not like she held any personal ties to Zero, so it wasn’t out of loyalty but more out of general heroism/bravery on her part.
Rima Toya: Hufflepuff. Not much is known about her, however.
Shiki Senri: Same as Rima.
Seiren: Hufflepuff/Gryffindor.
Hunter characters:
Toga Yagari: Gryffindor.
Kaito Takamiya: A Gryffindor with very bad anger issues, ‘nuff said.
Kaien Cross: Hufflepuff, lmfao. He’s a strong pacifist, hates violence, and is accepting of all people no matter their species.
Our villains:
Ichiru Kiryuu: Surprisingly, I’d have to say..Slytherin. He’s the more, to put it frankly, devious, plotting Kiryuu twin. And he didn’t seem quite loyal because he betrays his family for Shizuka..
Shizuka Hio: This one is a harder one…probably in some weird way, a twisted/evil Hufflepuff? I mean, she can be plotting like a Slythering but it’s ultimately a loved one’s death that drives her actions.
Rido Kuran: He manipulated a lot of events, especially when he purposely put the name of Shizuka’s lover on the list out of pure malice for her. And he’s obviously very ambitious.
Sara Shirabuki: Slytherin. She especially has the ambition part down.
Side characters:
Juuri Kuran: Gryffindor, a very fiesty one at that. We don’t see much of her character but I get that vibe. And sacrificing her life was fairly brave of her.
Haruka Kuran: Hufflepuff, maybe? He seemed like the peaceful, accepting type..
Maria Kurenai: Hufflepuff, how else would she have given Shizuka her body? Shizuka was family, so she was obligated to.
Nadeshiko Shindo: Gryffindor. Takes a lot of bravery to approach Zero Kiryuu I guess.
Yori: Hufflepuff. A nice girl and loyal friend. However, Ravenclaw could be argued for her too–she’s fairly perceptive, to the point that she wasn’t oblivious to the strangeness of the Night class like all the other girls. She probably wasn’t as shocked to find out what they really are.
