Meet my Fodlansona Reiner Von Amsel he’s an archer aligned with the Black Eagles and things not included in his profile are that his dimpled smile (there is two except his hand covers the other) is what lets people’s guards down and entrust him with their secret. The ring on his hand represents the jackdaw’s eyes because his family believes that it represents protection.  Credits to @ramyeondoodles for sharing the profile card template~

Me. Remaking fatesonas to become fodelansonas? Its more likely than you think.

I tried to do them in the style of 3h, however I couldn't do it right enough for me to actually like how they looked, so I decided to go with my usual style.

So far we have Dvalin as a member of the Golden Deer (because I'm funny and my friends suggested it), Morien as a Blue Lion and Artoria as a Black Eagle. Ill make posts going into greater detail once I am done with them.

Until then, i hope you guys like them.

Jakob and Valencia C-A Support

I just had the certain urge to write this but I thought it’d be a very fun support to write.

C-Support:

Jakob: What are you doing here? You have no place here nor have any permission to be anywhere near Lord/Lady Corrin.

Valencia: Relax I’m here to escort him/her around town and he/she has requested for me in the first place.

Jakob: I don’t believe that Milord/Mistress Corrin would ever request for a heathen like you.

Valencia: Heathen, am I now? You know that I’m a backup retainer in the case that I have to replace anyone. I’m sure you know what that means for you.

Jakob: Are you threatening me?

Valencia: You are the only thing stopping me from becoming Lord/Lady Corrin’s retainer.

Jakob: Heathen is much too nice of a word to describe you.

Valencia: Aww why thank you. Intimidation is a strong suit of mine.

Jakob: You’re just a pest, and I won’t be afraid to take you down if it must come down to it.

Valencia: Lovely, well I’ll just make my way to Lord/Lady Corrin. Oh, as for you, break a leg.

Jakob: If you do anything to Lord/Lady Corrin I will personally come for your head.

Valencia: Wouldn’t dream of it.

B-Support:

Valencia: Hello butler. So, may I ask why you’re pointing that dagger at me?

Jakob: Don’t take another step.

Valencia: Don’t tell me you’re scared of me.

Jakob: No, but I will protect myself in order to serve Lord/Lady Corrin more.

Valencia: Wouldn’t it be a shame if you managed to break your arms, then I’d have to take over.

Jakob: You wouldn’t dare.

Valencia: You’re very widely disliked by others compared to me so if anything happened who would you think they’d believe.

Jakob: I won’t allow you near Lady/Lord Corrin, your presence disturbs him/her enough.

Valencia: That’s not what she/he told me last time we went out. If you’re that worried I’m not going to replace you anytime soon.

Jakob: Wasn’t that your goal from the beginning?

Valencia: Yes and no. Just worry about your own job and I’ll worry about my current one. I’ll become a retainer when the time is right. So, let’s call it a truce.

Jakob: Hmph, fine.

Valencia: Little butler, I came to talk to you.

Jakob: Would it kill you to refer to me by name.

Valencia: I swore an oath to call all non-royals by nicknames so yes it would. I brought something.

Jakob: Is that a large bottle?

Valencia: Alcohol, so we can hit it off as friends.

Jakob: Drinking on the job is irresponsible and I have a hunch you would’ve poisoned it.

Valencia: I’m so hurt by your lack of faith in me. Okay, so I think we can start over. I’m only here as support, don’t think of me as competition but rather think of me as someone who’ll continue what you left off temporarily.

Jakob: And what if you got cozy and started enjoying it.

Valencia: I still don’t have the rights to take away your job. You can have it all to yourself.

Jakob What if I were to die. Would you then claim it?

Valencia: Don’t worry your gray hair over it, I’m not letting you die anytime soon. We’ll get there once we get there.

Jakob: I suppose so. You might not be a bad influence, but a very pesky one.

Valencia: I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Awakeningsona!Nasim

So I’m traveling in a few days so I thought I’d try my best to finish Nasim before then.

Name: Nasim Al-Adil

Age: 26

Height: 5′5 ½ ft

Nationality: Plegian

Class / Alternative Class: Dark Mage / Cavalier

S-Support / A-Support Options: Robin (M/F), Chrom, Fredrick, Lon’qu, Gregor, Panne, Olivia. // Ricken, Lissa, Tharja, and Cordelia.

Skill: Thirst to Thrive (When his health is low +15 Critical)

Bio: Nasim was born and raised in Plegia and used to help his parents out at the store before his brother Asim became old enough to take over it from him. He then entered the Plegian army as a Cavalier but he found his true calling as a dark mage when during battle his sword broke and sustained the wound on his ribs, and he had taken the tome of a fallen soldier near him to defend himself. During a dispute by his parents, he joined his father to go to Ylisse only because of Asim and resigned from the army. Unlike Asim who is a naga believer, he is still a Grimlel.

Personality: Nasim is a very harsh person who keeps himself at a distance. He won’t appreciate anyone trying to dissect his personality and can easily be provoked. He holds strong beliefs and will not be afraid to question authority if it isn’t morally correct, but it also lands him in hot water and he has been demoted from his rank several times. Occasionally he falls into a depressive episode that is hard to coax him out of when he gets nightmares and memories of all the friends he has lost. He won’t show it as he’s gotten better at concealing it, but if nobody’s around he’ll do nothing but lie in bed. He is not afraid of pegasuses but due to one of his friends being skewered by a pegasus knight right in front of him, it’s hard for him to get near one.

Recruitment: He is first seen in chapter 7 as a green unit but had fallen off the cliff but he managed to land onto the piece of land sticking out of the cliff. But he remained incapacitated and was taken in by the Plegian army assuming he was one of their own judging by his Plegian attire. He used that opportunity after being healed to stay with the army in hopes of finding the Shepherds. Joins in chapter 10 (the chapter right after Emmeryn’s death.) where either Chrom or Asim have to talk to him.

Awakeningsona!Asim

So this is another revamp of one of my ocs and I’ve updated his looks up a bit. So a glitch happened where my pen sensitivity sort of didn’t work and the lines kind of came out bad so I had the idea to try and color over my sketch.

Name: Asim Al-Adil

Age: 24

Height: 5′5 ft

Nationality: Plegian

Class / Alternative Class: Archer / Dark Mage

S-Support Options / A-Support Options: Robin (M/F), Henry, Libra, Tharjah, Sumia, Gaius, Mariabelle / Donnel, Chrom, Cherche, Sully.

Skill: Finest Archer (If up against another archer +3 defense)

Bio: Asim used to live in plegia and helped his dad and mom with the store and used to be the one to trade with the other areas and would take even days to reach there. After Gangrel came into power his father no longer felt safe living there and after an argument with his mother, the two had decided a break was needed and his father left the country along with Asim and his older brother Nasim while his mother now resides with her parents. He now lives in Ylisse with the two of them. It was easier for him to fit in as he was more of a Naga believer but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t still hold his beliefs of being a grimlel. 

Recruitment: He joins during chapter 7 (the chapter where Cordelia is recruited) and his brother comes along with him but only as a green unit and the two are separated during the fight and somebody believed to have seen him falling over the ledge which causes Asim to go into shock.

Personality: Asim is a well-mannered guy who tends to be misunderstood as emotionless and insensitive. He enjoys helping all those around him and purposefully neglects himself so as to not have to deal with himself. He has many pent-up emotions and with the exception of his brother he’s had no one to talk to or support him for it. He just wants to see peace which is his reason for fighting.

Shading with Black

It’ll be under read but this is all opinion based and don’t take anything as fact but rather as a suggestion.

What artists mean when they say don’t shade with black

What artists don’t mean when they say don’t shade with black

Look I don’t like artists who try to restrict certain styles or aspects of a drawing but I dislike both the hissy fits that people throw at artists when they say that and the artist themselves that say that.

I’m not a professional artist and this is just an opinion but shading with pure black is ugly and hard to look at if you blend it. I’m a big fan of harsh shading don’t get me wrong but most of the time it’s blended in rather than done in a harsh manner such as a manga or comic book. It can also look good blended if there’s not a lot of colors within the picture such as an ink or charcoal/traditional drawing. I’ll give a good example of an artist I’m a fan of who uses harsh black shading.

There’s many way you could go about shading with black and I don’t want to bring anyone down who wishes to use a soft shading with black but I do want to see people improve in their art.

My skin color layers are quite a lot compared to the rest of the body ( the undershirt he has is 2-3 layers of colors only) Here’s Niall’s skin color layer and those in red are the clipped to the base. To be fair I believe he’s one of the characters with the most skin color layers ad the mole is an additional two layers which you can’t tell but it’s two colors. 

I believe the least is either Amane or Mary. Since each character, I sort of give their own skin color based on their reference and give it my own twist that’s why each character has their own file. I keep the base the color of the character from the reference then I find a color that closely matches my style and put that layer clipped over the original character.

I was looking at the amount of layers I made on this pic and I was wondering if anyone would be shocked or not at the amount of layers that is in total. Also obviously it’ll be difficult to actually say the exact number so I don’t mind if somebody says around 20 or around 40. Whoever guesses it right can request me anything except for sprites or full body because I’d like to do something quick. Icons, Busts, want to see me attempt lineless on your favorite character or oc maybe idk… You have three guesses and I’ll post a screenshot of the actual amount of layers later if nobody guesses anyway or if people guess it wrong.
