संत गरीबदास जी बचपन से ही अन्य ग्वालों के साथ गौ चराने जाते थे कबलाना गाँव की सीमा से सटे नला खेत में 10 वर्ष के बालक गरीबदास जी जांडी के पेड़ के नीचे प्रातः 10 बजे अन्य ग्वालों के साथ जब भोजन कर रहे थे तभी वहाँ से कुछ दूरी पर सत्यपुरुष कबीर साहेब जिंदा महात्मा के रूप में सतलोक से अवतरित हुए और गरीबदाज जी महाराज से मिले।
