i never see enough airplanes appreciation posts so here is one for u all. let’s talk about how michael wrote it with only john feldmann and no one else. michael took this song and made it his own. ashton played the drums in the song in one take [x]. just one take is all it took for the drums in the song to be done. also the fact that even though michael can be considered the heavier song writer within the band, he’s shown that he can write something so uplifting like airplanes. he’s shown how versatile he is and it’s nice bc he’s not just sticking to one type of song, he’s able to write and play a variety of types of songs. even the sound of the airplanes and the guitar solos and the woooah’s in it, it’s all just so positive and nice and i love it. this song is full of happiness and admitting you haven’t got things right, but not caring about that since you can learn from it. “make believe worlds make us all feel alive” has to be one of the best lyrics from the entire song bc it literally describes how i fill the void in my soul. and don’t get me started on the bit, u know the “i don’t ever wanna wait for this, i believe i was made for this, i won’t fade into dark…” part bc like idk about u but every time i hear that part i have like vivid imagery of like a light being really bright but then fading but not completely being out. it’s like it’s saying that like ur gonna fight for something you want and know u can have like you’re not gonna give up or apologise for doing whatever it is to get u there, no matter how difficult or rough times can get u still have that little push in u to keep going. idk man i could talk about airplanes forever but i don’t know the correct terminology for stuff and i don’t wanna get dragged for that but #airplanesappreciationpost

In the poster for the film, the Greasers are shown laughing as Johnny is smirking. This was a candid shot, taken during the photo session in which the actors were supposed to look tough at the camera. What happened was that Leif Garrett (Bob, the Soc) was approaching the food table off-camera, and a stagehand (who did not know who Garrett was) said, “The food is for the talent (meaning the actors),” and Ralph Macchio sarcastically said, “Yeah, it’s for the TALENT!” This comment cracked up the cast, and the photo was used.

sorry to butt in, but when this happened at my concert, his voice cracked because he almost cried with tears of joy.. and then i cried and could barely sing (more like croak because i was already losing my voice) along to JBH.
