Hiatus/End
I’ve given it some thought and due to my time commitments and lack of interest, I’m not going to be posting anymore new material or answering any questions (ask box is closed). It’s been fun, but I feel as though I’ve pushed as far as I could with mbti stuff. I won’t delete the blog, so you can still access the materials.
Maybe in the future I’ll come back to it, but for now I’m shutting her down. (And I’m keeping the blog, if you want an INTJ blog, please start a cool one of your own!)
Thank you for following and supporting this blog! I never thought people would be interested in the things I thought. And generally, it’s good to see critically thinking and reasonable people still present haha. So, thank you again, you guys are great.

Jw any INTJs had depression? If so, how did you recover? I had it and I fully regenerated but I can't help but think being an INTJ played a role in my depression. I wasn't ready to accept who I was going to be before.
I did a while ago, but I had to learn how to embrace who I was instead of rejecting it all the time. It took a while, but I saw that I had to look on the bright side of things instead of dwelling on terrible things all the time. And once I started doing that, things changed for the better.

Which MBTI types are most likely to cheat on their significant others?
Again, MBTI isn’t an indicator of who is or isn’t going to cheat. These are people we’re talking about. A type isn’t going to determine that.

Which MBTI type is most likely to be a liar?
MBTI isn’t an indicator of traits like that. Anyone can lie and in fact all people lie.

Responding. I would choose INTJ because I kinda know how to deal with INTJs being one myself. Tbh I might have an NTJ niece. I kinda want an INTJ but ENTJ to sort of "train" from the ground up. After all, I figure those types can benefit from my brains to pick. But if I had a feely type kid. Well my favorite saying is "shit happens". Of course I wouldn't disown my kids or nieces/nephews fir any reason. I would just deal with it. Plus I would hope my influence kinda balances things out.
That’s cool.

If you had the choice to choose an MBTI type for your kid. Which would you choose? Tbh I am thinking (perhaps my INTJ bias) I would prefer an INTJ kid. I know I was REALLY low maintenance, as in IDC of toys, or fancy vices. I usually just things on my own. (Although I had really laisez faire parents), such as grades, studying, avoiding trouble. What is your POV?
I don’t really have a preference, as long as the kid is quiet and well behaved. I don’t think type matters necessarily to certain issues. I mean I’m an INTJ and I have a tendency to be lazy with certain things if I don’t deem them necessary. And sometimes I have a smart mouth which I know plenty of parents would get annoyed of. Really depends on the environment as well.

A tired intp here. I have a friend who has misconceptions on mbti. She uphelds her opinion of herself being an intj based on online tests even though i told her that almost all of the tests aren't accurate due to their lack of function understanding. I don't hang out with her a lot now so I can't really type her (but I know she doesn't use Ni-Te). So I showed her all the functions and she still just doesn't grasp it. I give up. What are your opinions regarding this?
Dunno. I don't think the online personality tests are necessarily completely inaccurate all the time. I think the issue with them is how people can easily mistype themselves based off some of the questions. Thinkers can be feelers, extroverts can type as introverts etc. And typically, that's what he normally have to work with in terms of typing.
The problem with explaining functions. I've searched countless times for decent explanations of functions and how they work alone and together, and often times it just shows up as gibberish. I imagine that's how many people see functions-- just gibberish. I've tried to explain functions to other people who've taken the test, but a lot of them have no idea what I'm talking about. But yeah, it's not really the letters that are the most important part, but the functions. However, MBTI results were designed in a way that makes the letters easier to point to. And if you weren't already really invested in learning about MBTI, you aren't really going to care about it.

I used to think zodiac stuff was silly, but lately the more I look into the more I find it relatable. I know plenty are going to say I'm being stupid or that horoscopes and the like are stupid, but not like it really matters to me.
I've always been feeling like I'm repressing sides of myself. Either I'm intuitive, more emotional, and gentler with people or I'm more logical, fair, and straightforward. It's like fighting two people inside of you at once and sometimes it drives me crazy.
I guess I can say being a pisces INTJ is odd. At least considering how I think the sign that matches most with what a typical INTJ would be like is a capricorn.

While I used to struggle a lot with feeling things, the one thing I could always feel something towards was music. I always feel so connected when listening to particular songs, even the ones in foreign languages. Actually, especially the ones in other languages-- they always seem to capture the mood perfectly with the sound even before I read a translation which is pretty accurate. Music is pretty much my life.

Do you think it's possible to tell someone that you don't care about what they're talking about or are bored by the topic without coming off as an asshole or cold?
That's a tricky one. I mean if you didn't care about the person, it shouldn't matter too much, honestly. You could still be polite about and just ask them to talk about something else or you, yourself could change the topic.
I've been in that situation and I know it can suck. It's especially bad when you don't really care about the person and they don't stop talking-- they never take a breath. Sometimes, I'll honestly just tell the person I need to be somewhere and just go. It's really hard to say what exactly is on your mind, but honestly if it sucks that bad, might as well be honest. The older I get the more I realize that it's up to the other person how they want to act. I've questioned why we were discussing certain topics and the other person got offended, but they got over it. So, I don't know. It's your call really.

Do INTJs get scared of being too confident? I mean I know I can be brilliant but it such a delicate balance I need of both praise but being sure I beat myself up knowing I still got a long way to go.
No such thing as too confident, in my opinion. But if you're thinking arrogance, might be a problem for some. I would recommend not beating yourself up because that stifles development. It don't feel good to do that. There's nothing wrong with being proud of the skill set you have developed and wanting to be praised for it. I think we create a society that has a bizarre combination of requiring you to sell yourself in some instances and in other times, want you to sell yourself short and be self depreciating. It's why so many people are confused or always beating themselves. You can be proud of what you got and where you're going at the same time. Nothing wrong with it. Own everything you got.

Btw INTJs. Have you ever faced a problem of "accepting" yourself? Like you know you are an INTJ, but at first you didn't want to be. It probably caused turmoil until you were like fuck it, I am an INTJ and I will just live with it?
Yes, used to. You have to accept yourself if you want to even begin to change. It's not like personalities can't change over time, but if you don't like yourself, you're just resisting and resisting-- pushing against a tide. And that honestly isn't going to get you very far. Acceptance is key. Once you start looking at the things you like about yourself, you can look at the things you don't like and ask how you can improve them. And INTJs are pretty good at problem solving so there you have it haha. I got used to it and I enjoy it.

Are INTJs more susceptible to vices or less susceptible? Like doing drugs, alcohol, too much sex, too much food, etc.
From what I've seen, stable and healthy INTJs don't really over indulge. But this is all dependent on the person. We normally think of the consequences of our actions before doing them.

INTJs are perfectionists, with an endless capacity for improving upon anything that takes their interest. They will work long and hard on such tasks, driving towards closure, impervious to the outside.
