I watched Look Back and at first I wasn’t really inspired or like emotionally gutted over it. I saw all these tweets that were like “went to see look back and I’m going to keep living” and I expected to have this burning bush moment, but it never came. Probably because I’ve just really hated my art recently, fanart is fun but making art hoping to get likes or notes or get in a zine is exhausting and terrible for your self esteem. So I was laying in bed and asked myself, why do you draw? And I remembered. I draw because I want to connect with others. I hope I can bring something into this world that someone else can see and think, “oh, so I’m not the only person who feels like this”. Or maybe just trying to find a way to let other people know what goes on in my brain. I had the motivation to finish this WIP, and typing out this caption I started crying, anyway thank you Fujimoto for reminding me that I’m suppose to enjoy art.
