is interesting to me that fenris blames magic and mages for what he suffered BUT not humans. like yeah mages are in power in tevinter, but only human mages. you go to kirkwall and non-mages are in power and wow shocking! all of them are humans. but he sees it more of a problem of mages/non mages than human/elves issue, in the end he just hangs out with humans (and varric). He doesn't get along with Merrill for other issues but that is the only other elf of the team so he just ends up not hanging out with any other elf. The one friend he gets outside the companions is DONNIC. Hawke can hire (or enslave) a tevinter elf slave and fenris never goes to talk to her or check out how she is doing.

Then we have stuff like this

Merrill: Certainly your people have stories about the Dalish. No? Fenris: My people? Merrill: The elves in Tevinter. They must have heard of us. Fenris: They've heard. They just don't care.

The elves in tevinter. They. Not us.

Merrill: You never come to the alienage, Fenris. Fenris: I don't live in the alienage. Merrill: Don't you care about the plight of our people? Not even a little bit? Fenris: I don't need to visit the alienage to know what they suffer.

Again the our vs they of how they talk about elves.

Idk if they talk about this in the comics but im like oh boy Fenris you have issues that i wish were more explored in game (but alas da2 was done in rush time)

I so wanted to hear more of this Hawke but this guy is playing a Blue/Green one, while I wanted SNARK, I wanted TOUGH, because I KNOW Namikawa-san is fabulous at his job, but here we only get to observe his most "basic" performance? Generic good guy... such a waste of his incredible range

I was very surprised to learn that mage Hawke can receive only 5 rivalry points in this convo. I was utterly certain that it could not be less than 10. (No wonder, I'd never ever suggest that Fenris pay Danarius back for the lyrium!) But this Hawke did, and made a kicked puppy face and made Fenris feel bad about his ouburst, and...

I DID NOT KNOW THIS.

And I don't think I like this Fenris... He sounds way too tough and... unapproachable XD
