SYSTEMATIC BREAKDOWN OF FALLING IN LOVE <3

It's a battle between the heart and the mind

The heart pulls out its sword with the words

"Are you guys more than friends?"

The mind retaliates with a

"Do not go down that path again,"

"You know how it has been,"

"You know how it was."

But the heart puts its sheild in front and goes on

The mind starts noticing how

You start learning things from them

The little things and the big things

Journaling, enjoying your own company,

Taking pictures for memories,

reading books of different genres,

getting more independent,

learning to articulate your thoughts better.

The mind wants to attack again but the heart is intoxicated by the feeling

So the mind does not want to make an unfair move and hence, takes a step back.

It still can't help but notice how

You start picking up their phrases

You start admiring them

You think about them more often than you should

You listen to them talking about things that don't make sense to you

You start enjoying the ordinary things

You start loving yourself more

You start loving life more

This is when the mind has had enough and attacks

Because it knows everything is fair in love and war

But the heart took out its strongest armour for this clash

So you give in to their being;

Songs have a different meaning now

All the love quotes are about them

You are journaling about them

Your face lights up at their sight

You feel their warmth through a text

You are casually mentioning their name in conversations with friends

It is a gone game by now

The mind has lost and the heart is on a frenzy

Their smile makes your whole day

Their silly little joke makes you laugh

Their hugs are what you look forward to on a bad day

Their words comfort you from miles away

Your mind surrenders

because it has lost all control

The first thought is of them

The last thought is of them

The thoughts in the middle of the day are about them

Suddenly EVERYTHING is about them

Your heart won the battle

Maybe this is what it feels like to fall in love

A HUGE war
