This weekend I actually got alot done. Finished my cropped hexi cardigan with a hood, made two dresses for a family friend from thrifted shirts, and have almost finished a crochet top that'll definitely be done tonight.

My cardigan, I absolutely love it! It needs washed and blocked so that it will lay right, but it's very comfy and cute! I used passioknitkelsie's cardigan and hood tutorials. I used caron colorama halo and a 6.0 crochet hook, with a 4.0 for the sleev cuffs.

These are really mockups for a dress that'll be made out of a little girl's dad's shirt who has passed. Mostly just to make sure they fit, but will also help decide on final style. Both of these shirts were thrifted and the patterns were self drafted/freehanded. I french seamed the side seams, and used bias tape on the armholes and bottom hem.

I made two little dresses for a family friend over the weekend! Mostly just freehanded the pattern, just cut around the general size of another dress. Both shirts were thrifted. I french seamed the side seams, and then used bias tape around the sleeve holes and bottom hem.

I totally forgot to post my last few projects on here, so here's one of them. I spent a couple weeks on this hexagon pullover, and it's just about my favorite project to date. The only things that I'd change, and will the next time around, are that I made the sleeve cuffs a bit tight and the back is a little too wide so it doesn't sit quite right. Overall a fun and easy enough project! I used passioknitkelsie's tutorial, and caron colorama halo with a 6.0 hook. I'm working on another one, that'll be the cropped cardi style!

(Post written approximately a year ago, but all info is still accurate!!!)
Granny Hexagon Sweater #3
When I say I’ve been literally obsessed with these granny hexagon sweaters lately, I’m absolutely not kidding. I made this one for my friend Rachel, who absolutely loved it, thankfully. She gave me a list of colors for yarn that she was interested in for a sweater, and none of them are actually in this yarn, but I found it and went “Rachel will love this”, so I sent her a photo of it along with all of the other yarns I had found that actually matched the colors she gave me, and this is the one she chose! I’m so glad she did, too, because it’s an absolutely perfect color selection for her, and suits both her and her personality perfectly. However, these photos make me incredibly sad, as they absolutely do not capture the true colors of the finished item, which are far more vibrant.
For this sweater, I continued using the alterations I made to the PassioKnits tutorial linked in my first sweater post, namely altering the structure of the granny stripe sections ever so slightly, and knitting the cuffs of the sweater. I also (accidentally) chained two in the front corners on the sweater border, making them longer and pointier than the other two sweaters I’ve made so far, but I actually like the look, and there weren’t so many rows on the border that they warped the corners too badly, so I decided to leave them as they were instead of ripping and redoing the border. I used approximately seven skeins of Red Heart Super Saver Stripes in Fruity Stripe, a US size K crochet hook for the body, US size I crochet hook for the border, and US size 8 knitting needles for the cuffs of the sleeves.
(P.S. peek under the cut for Loki’s opinion on this sweater)

Baby sweater I made for my manager who just had a new grandson two weeks ago. Finished it in less than a week and will be giving it to her tomorrow at work! I've been wanting to make a baby sweater for awhile, and this was my excuse to finally make one.

Temperature blanket update! I'm halfway done with yesterday's stripe. It's definetly going to be huge, but it'll be fine.

Ok guys, so I know that I haven't posted in a while but I have a ton of projects that I've been working on. I'm going to try and show all of them withing the next few days, but to start here's the dress I just finished sewing last night. I used Shultzapparel's pattern from Etsy, and the fabric was just a microfiber bedsheet. Definetly going to use this pattern again! Absolutely love the finished dress and it was a fairly easy pattern to follow!

Proof of actual knitting progress and not just excited vibrating about BG3. Now that I've partitioned off the armholes it's finally starting to look like a sweater!

Just finished a pair of socks I'm gifting to a friend! They were supposed to be a Christmas gift, but I never found the time to start them until this week.

For all the knit, crochet, and quilt people out there, I wanted to let y'all know about a wonderful charity called Project Linus. They take donated handmade blankets and give them to children in hospitals. This is such a sweet idea and they have been doing it for 29 years. The blankets must be pet hair and smoke free and at least 36" x 36". You can find more info and local (United States) drop off locations at their website: projectlinus.org. I drop mine off at my local Joann fabric/craft store.

Here's one I'm currently working on and I'm really happy with how it looks.

Current temperature blanket progress. It's about 6 inches wide, meaning this blanket is definitely going to be absolutely huge when it's done.
