Kazuha was able to deduce that we aren’t from Teyvat, that we have elemental powers (and tells us what he perceived that brought him to that conclusion during that same quest) and have been to Mondstadt from listening to the wind and when we were chasing the thief from the tournament he claims to have heard the thief boasting and laughing about stealing the vision shell despite us being in the process of gliding above the sea between Guyun and the coast near Sea of Clouds. From his character teaser, anecdotes from his friendship stories and an NPC in Konda Village, Beidou keeps him aboard the Alcor as local weather forecast and possibly radar. He was also able to deduce that a house occupied by a family was a tanuki-made illusion and that the house and family didn’t exist in the first place where another person thought they were spending the night as someone’s guest to take shelter from the rain.

From a similar standpoint, Venti’s wind powers also gave him knowledge of every song from past, present and future and give him enough information on Mondstadt to know that our Stanley is Hans Archibald despite only recently waking up and the adventurer Stanley having been dead presumably for years.

Playing through the second and third day, Ruu really does seem to be an expy of Yae Rin. Both willingly consented to being sacrificed to the deity their respective village/civilization worshipped.

Story: the ancient villagers on Tsurumi island sacrificed a kid to please a god which enraged it instead and caused the annihilation of everyone on the island

And you’ll only figure this out if you get to day 2 of the island’s world quest and read all the thunderbird’s fury set’s lore...

Ruu’s the child of the village chief, the village chief is the one in charge of the ritual. The bloodline had something to do with the scripts in the island. It was precisely because Ruu got along with the thunderbird that the village chief thought he would be the most suitable sacrifice. 😨

The Guoba reveal isn’t a surprise at all. How they met, that bit Madam Ping narrated, Her friendship lv 5 story gives it to you in greater detail through Xiangling’s PoV. But of course if you saw that coming, you would have also seen Xiangling’s stories from before she was able to cook anything impromptu that she got to where she is through practice, trial and error and continued support from friends and family in the time it took for her to get to where she is now.

speaking of Azhdaha’s debuff, I noticed during the time I was trying to learn debuff cleansing that Beidou’s e can cleanse his DoT debuff for the whole party if he isn’t electro and/or hydro that week. It’s really strange since other pyro and cryo debuffs don’t get cleansed by her e (even if only for herself). It seems to get passed around to whoever the active character is instead of applying itself to every member of the team on hit so cleansing it off of the active character cleanses it for the whole team, vs other elemental debuffs that require you to have a means of applying an element to the whole team for a duration (xinyan’s shield, diona, bennet’s heal, barbara’s e, etc.) and switching to other characters that aren’t cleansed yet. Beidou’s e applies electro to herself for the duration of holding e (so only herself) and her c1 ult shield doesn’t apply electro to the whole team.

Speaking of mechanics on taking hits, I’m not sure how the rifthound mechanics would work but if taking hits would fall under taking damage even if your hp didn’t move is anything to go by, it would probably depend on whether you taking damage while shielded even if the shield didn’t take damage that would decide whether you get the heals or not.

Up until now all of the enemies we have seen are either elemental ones who originated from Teyvat, hilichurls, or from the Abyss Order.  Now we may actually have enemies from outside of Teyvat.  

Not exactly a great thing for Zhongli, but I do have him at C6, which means heals.  I guess I’m just going to have my hp go up and down up and down all the time.

it is but I remember the only thing uniform between the daily themes was where the altar for the final room was, the spawn locations of the runes(? it’s been a while I forgot the specific word) you had to collect for it spawned randomly in different rooms and which mobs spawned in which room’s challenge.

I am a short adult. Any growth spurts are long behind me, I don't get any bigger than this. My ID gets double-checked when I buy alcohol, just in case it's fake. I am not freshly 21 either, this has been going on for a while.

I see posters laying out their reasons for why shorter characters we think of as adults are actually kids and think "...You are also describing me."

I'm not going to be the weird-ass arguing that Klee is a college student but the idea that characters are children just because they aren't Jean/Diluc-tall is ridiculous.

Apart from his stature and big anime eyes that all the characters have, what makes Xiao a teen? Xingqiu is a teen, Xiao is a demon slaying twink. A short king. Nothing wrong with that.

One theory I read was that teen fans are projecting. They want all the characters to be young because they themselves are young. But the characters' canon ages are kind of ambiguous and you don't get to bully people over your headcanons. (And, no, disagreeing with you doesn't make someone automatically a pedophile. What the hell?)

i think mihoyo made the ages ambiguous on purpose, whether for projection or plot purposes, but it's canonical that klee's species is VERY long-living, so she could very well be much older than most of her friends. and LOL xiao is 2000+ years old but yeah.

ideally, there wouldn't be any sort of bullying at all :(

Wow, just wow. I'm ashamed to even be in this horrendous fandom, this is turning into the my hero academia fandom so fast in one year. This is a reminder to players, don't harass a Voice Actor for simply VOICING a character. It's Pathetic to think that people would go so far for Pixels. If you're one of those people, you're fucking disgusting. You basically ruined someone's life over pixels. PIXELS.

If you pay attention to what some of the problems brought to her by the crowd of people in her story quest and her teaser where she's told that she'll have to take care of the whole of Watatsumi Island, it heavily implies that Watatsumi Island is an autonomous region that constitutionally is under the Raiden shogun but in government is run by its own government. She's the head of the executive, judicial and 1/4

She's the head of the executive, judicial and legislative branches of Watatsumi Island while additionally being a religious leader (the people who work in Watatsumi's shrine also are under her).

Compare it to the other governments in the game, the Liyue Qixing has 7 members who each preside over an aspect of Liyue's government, the game doesn't tell us specifically what each title's job description is but Ningguang is a very big part of the legislative branch, Keqing is part of public works (executive branch), and so on. All those jobs, all that falls under Kokomi's jurisdiction in Watatsumi Island. Because Watatsumi Island is also the Resistance's base of operations, her job also ends up being what the Tenryou (military affairs), Kanjou(border control) and Yashiro commission (don't forget she's still the head priestess for Orobaxi) all oversee.

She does in fact deligate her work, we see this with the shrine maidens under her and some members of the resistance. The issue is that her Divine Priestess of Watatsumi title means she has to oversee everything regarding governance in Watatsumi Island because all of that falls under her job description as Divine Priestess. Compare it to Jean who has willing subordinates but continues to not delegate and takes jobs far below her paygrade or in similarly hands-on approaches, Keqing who goes incognito to understand her subordinates' work related issues so she can come up with ways to make it more efficient but isn't in charge of everything in Liyue, only a part of it.

Man maybe it’s just me but watching people get super angry about the anniversary rewards we’ve been shown so far is so funny to me? Like I get being disappointed they aren’t more but like do people know the company isn’t obligated to do anything? Players aren’t “owed” stuff just for playing the game, the only thing you’re owed is a game to play. Call me cynical, but I really do get such a kick out of people complaining so much that it seems like they’re only playing Genshin for the rewards. You can always just not play if you feel like it’s not for you! I just play because it’s fun and I like the characters, myself. I fear players are becoming maybe a smidge too entitled to demand a free five star just because the game is a year old lol.

Feel free to come at me for this take, it’s just my view on it. ;)

i totally agree that ppl are becoming a bit entitled. while i also would have wanted some more primos (it's hard being f2p), this is NOT supposed to be an argument about whether or not mihoyo is a capitalistic pig; it's supposed to be constructive criticism that nicely asks mihoyo to give us some more rewards.

all companies care about their profits, because they are companies and the point of their existence is to make money. without money, there would be NO genshin, or fun updates, or pretty music. people are simply ragging on mihoyo because they're a chinese company, and these 'fans'' true colors are coming out (not that they haven't always been out 🙄).

in light of honey impact’s closure, I understand that everyone sees it as a database and wiki for planning your grind. I also understand why people wouldn’t like fandom wiki’s layout (fandom wikia has a bad layout not just the genshin one, a lot of fandom wikia wikis suffer from this) even if it is useful (go here for lore without leaks), it would be nice if someone also made an entry on event quest lore because mihoyo doesn’t rerun events (it has been 3 years and only recently did mihoyo announce their first rerun of a lore relevant event in honkai so if the community doesn’t log these things, they will be gone forever). Here are other substitutes:

Here is Keqingmains’ website, https://library.keqingmains.com/ a site of official content creators (because people don’t seem to realize that mihoyo in fact has a content creator program that supports its creators) who focus on theorycrafting if you want thoughts on how to build your characters. They also have a tool for best artifacts you have for which character you’re grinding if artifacts are going poorly for you. I put it up for copy paste because tumblr links have some sort of href.li at the start of every link that messes up links sometimes.

Paimon.moe is a site for planning out your grinding, has a wish tracker for the past 3 months if you need help keeping track of your pity, has a timeline for events and banners already announced and has no ads.
