Devil couldn't reach me so the fucker decided to give me the curse of obsessing over picking Hoyo games apart
This is much less media analysis and more so hating on hoyo Hoyo "specializes" in games based on combat, open world, and gacha. But you cannot genuinely succeed in any of these genres is by having a proper variety, having an actual world to explore, new enemies to defeat, and an actual variety of characters and things to gain in gachas. But Hoyo doesn't give truly any of this, sure it has hella landscape, but what good is the area around if the inhabitants look the exact same as the last regions? Sure they have different clothes, and live in different buildings but there's no variety in features, genuine skill, or anything that'd make them yknow people. The options you choose don't matter, and everytime they come out with a new region the only thing to gain is a new character or two. The only reason any of their games are popular is because the characters look pretty, and they give you something to occupy you and keep you from looking deeper into stories, designs, and literally anything that's SUPPOSED to be important because they don't have it.

What I'm abt to go on about is a kinda summarization and conclusion I came to while having this convo with my friend instead of jsut a copy and paste like most of these have been and will be When I was watching the Sonic movies (I'm not fully done with the third, but yknow I know enough) I came to an interesting thought that definitely confused me at first It's the fact that I can see every version of Sonadow being like cute and I can ship them, EXCEPT for Movie Sonadow, but I can totally see movie Sonamy and when talking with my friend about it I think I found out why. A big part of the Sonic movies so far have been very centered in Sonic being a child, and while I do believe that Shadow is also around the same age psychologically atleast because of him being in the tube and completely unconscious for the 50 years, I feel like it's because Shadow and Sonic's maturity is too far off for me to be able to see them in any romantic fashion. But the reason I think I can still see Sonamy is because from the small clip we do see of Amy, she also seems to have that childlike kind of whimsy even with her being able to take out the Metal Sonic's so easily. She, like Sonic, has her adolescence still and it's still a key part of her.

I'm gonna say this now, there's gonna be a lot of Sonic rants.
I saw someone say that "Oh my Sonic would never threaten someone with handcuffs! This isnt an accurate-" Movie Sonic is a CHILD. Who's father is a POLICE OFFICER. Aka a man who WORKS FOR THE GOVERNMENT (kinda). He believes that he is supposed to trust G.U.N because they are giving th illusion of wanting to help, when in reality they just want to contain Shadow, just like they wanted to contain Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles aka for power, and so they don't blow up their whole controlling shit.
Sonic isn't doing it out of malicious intent, he genuinely says that he wants to just talk to Shadow, but Shadow refuses to believe him BECAUSE he hopped out of a chopper owned by G.U.N and because of this Sonic, IMMEDIATELY goes "Yeah, no we need more information from gun before we do anymore shit for them" LET THE CHILD LEARN.

This is a rant abt Higurashi; When They Cry - Gou/Sotsu, specifically Satako. Because I love her and she fascinates me. Spoilers up ahead
Satoko being named 'Child of Man' by Eua sums up a BIG portion of Satoko's character, especially within Sotsu when we get to see the behind the scenes of the episodes (in some sort). In episode 10 of Sotsu we see Satoko and the Witch (Which is kinda another version of Satoko but isn't) we see Satoko literally fighting with herself, although the Witch has things that differentiate her from the real Satako, generally she has the same design.
The Witch is a vision of what a humanity-less Satako is, someone who has lost sight of her original vision and instead can only feel happiness through the pity she makes people feel for her, and the harm she inflicts both directly and indirectly on others.
While Satako is only a girl who wanted to be happy, and wanted all of her friends to be happy right along side her. Her goal was always to be able to keep both Rika and her home and be able to live like that. That's the entire reason she's been doing this. Seeing the Witch hurts Satako, especially when the Witch claims to be the true Satako. Because that's not how she see's herself, and she knows it's not how others see her either. She's a bright, talented, and amazing girl and yet the one claiming to be the true her is a psychotic, manipulating, abusive person. but she cannot deny she shares some of these traits, and I think that's what scares her about the Witch the most.
