I was curious, have you heard what's happening with the filming of Salaar Part 2? Last I remember, Prabhas was supposed to start filming it this month. But now there are rumors that it's been postponed indefinitely because of his schedule with other movies.

Me thinking about the fate of Salaar like :

Honestly I really don’t know ���😭 I don’t think it’s entirely because of Prabhas’ schedule but all three of them Prithvi, Prashanth, and of course Prabhas they are busy as hell, Salaar 1 almost being made without Prithvi because he was stuck filming The Goat life and almost couldn’t match his schedule with them but for some reason they pushed through and we have salaar got released in fairly on schedule time.

At first it was supposed to be only 1 movies but after they heard the narration of the story from Prashanth both Prithvi and Prabhas thought it would be better if Salaar split into 2 parts so the could flash out the story more then enter another problem that Salaar is too R rated so they basically have to accept that rating or cut some part and Prabhas said he rather keep all the scenes so they have to accept the R rating, I think they lost the “family” time movies with this final editing and kinda suffer at the box office a bit and perhaps it didn’t lend the number or the hype they were hoping.

Salaar is a success but I think not successful enough 😭 and might be part of the reason why the next project kinda suffer for this kind of uncertainty.

During Prithviraj press tour for The Goat life when he was asked about Salaar he himself said that they would immediately start shooting as soon as their schedule aligned and it might sooner than what we all fans think and he said it around April 😭😭 bruh now it’s already August. So clearly they already have conversation together and excited to return.

But not Prithvi is busy shooting his third directorial movie and finishing all the empuram shoot basically, Prashanth start shooting with NTR wtf and Prabhas has like at least 10 line up of movies to shoot or to promote wtf like chill out what about SALAAR 2 Guyssss

I really don’t know the fate of Salaar 2 at this point the fact that they barely have any press tour for the first movie also contributes to this movie not reaching many audiences in the first place. But Salaar is like dream project for Prashant he loves it so much and Prithvi also has a soft spot for Varadha character, he used to talk about it in his twitter 😭 baby I don’t have answer to you, what left for us now is just to pray that they will not shelved this second movie forever.

The funniest scene in Salaar to me will always be when Varadha gives Deva such a besotted look after he kills Vishnu only to be caught by Baachi who then proceeds to look at him in disgust. Peak comedy.

Varadha is actually a really affectionate man. It is so easy for him to initiate physical contact with everyone that he loves.

1. Accepting Baba’s hug delightfully while smiling and offered his hand to be kissed by Bilal after rajamannar announced that he will be Lord again.

2. Patting Baachi’s head and playfully keeping him in headlock, kissing the top of his head (gosh not trying to cry at the blatant display of how much Baachi meant to Varadha, he loves his knucklehead of a brother with all his heart)

3. And of course his comfort person Deva, it’s so easy for Varadha it seems to just throw his hands around Deva (because Deva let him does it like there’s no awkwardness in their intimacy at all, I want to scream and ripped out my hair aaarghhh!) hold Deva’s hand, have his arms around deva anytime he wants or lay his head on his lap (well cough beside the obvious reason that he's in love with him, seriously the way he constantly possessively do it in public for all eyes to see to make a point to whom Deva's belongs to so there's no mistaken that Deva is taken lol) like there’s barely any year absent between them at all!

Literally there’s no business that he need to hold Deva’s front by extending his whole arm around his stomach lmao he can just drag him back on his arm like any normal friend would do, what’s the need with that grand gesture? other than to show the world Deva is his, or the way he grabbed on Deva’s clenched fist (it’s so dang cute actually he’s struggling to hold on Deva’s whole fist because his boyfriend is huge lol) and his fingers kind of stroking on Deva’s hand too afterward, what was the reason behind all of those gestures o Varadha Rajamannar? Prey to tell, All I see is the subtlety (or not so subtle) to show that he loves Deva and is possessive of him just as much as Deva was towards him.

No wonder the first thing he did when he met Deva again was running into his arms (and hugged Amma immediately as well) because that’s how he expressed his love, that’s who he is. 😭😭

My touched starve soft boy that just want to hold and be hold close by people that he care about. 🥺

The cinema of raw chili powder 🌶 saga

It's not lost on me how much Prashanth want to emphasize through this simple mundane thing about Deva that Varadha never stop thinking about him, even his habit after 25 years, it's still fresh in his mind because everyday Varadha spends his time recalling all the best moment in his life with Deva, every details about him, he keeps it close in his heart, in his mind, so he won't lose the only good thing that ever happened to him.

(I think it's also so wicked of Prashanth to shoot a scene where Aadhya forgot about the chili cup but Varadha was shown remembering about the chili powder vividly (that's cinema right there) like putting the gap between Aadhya and Varadha in the significant of Deva's life, to point out that Aadhya literally have no chance (don't let me start about Deva being able to hold himself back when someone touch Aadhya but lost his cool immediately when it's Varadha, that's for another post) also mind you Deva just landed in Khansaar for 24 hours and Varadha already started taking the devoted wife role seriously by caring for his food to this extent. Prashanth literally wanted to tell us explicitly like "Look at how Varadha is literally the best match for Deva. How better suited he is as his lover." Lmao).

The amount of screen time the chili powder has lmao yes I get it Prashanth I get it, IT IS THAT important. Amma getting so angry that Aadhya forgot the powder, then we have the shoot when she was holding it as she was asking around to help Aadhya and even the scene when she put it down. IT IS THE WAY TO SHOW HER LOVE for Deva through caring about his food, so it's also exactly the same case with Varadha, when we watched him care about Deva's food it means that he LOVES him! (Also to show us that Amma didn't need to worry about Deva's chili powder if he was with Varadha because he makes sure that he DID NOT forget it) Varadha must be Amma's ideal son in law lol not to mention the way she softened when she saw Varadha again after 25 years smiling immediately, letting him hugged her and even cooking for him and feeding him food with her own hands. THE MOTHER IN LAW HAVE GIVEN HER JUDGEMENT AND IT'S VARADHA.

(Seriously this scene might've been one of my favorites because we have Deva pouring the raw chili powder into his food scene then later we got the scene where Varadha reminded Rinda to not forget to serve it for Deva. Peak indian cinema right there because nothing else could match the brilliant way of using raw chili powder as love language 😭💯👏👑🔥🌶♨️🔥🥵)
