People often get stuck or go around in circles in terms of starting or growing a business.
Over thinking…Thinking about it in exactly the same way… over and over again.
To help you move things forward, watch to see how you could use the powerful ‘Six Thinking Hats’ process by Edward de Bono, in your world!
What you can do here is, if you’re going through a challenge, or you’re working through, you’ll assess “what is better thing for me to do” whether that is a service, a promotion and your business:
1. White Hat. This is where you’re very neutral. You are looking at this as if you’re not connected at all. That could not give you some definite perspectives in terms of “as it is a good idea to do or not.” 2. Red hat. This is a good connecting what you’re feelings and really gave in to the gut of yet what you feel. Do you feel that’s gonna help in going forward, for you, for your clients or is this something that could be a waste of time? 3. Black hat. The black hat is you, being negative, purposely. So, you can think of it that is looking on what could go wrong. What are the reasons why you’re not doing yet and actually give you the chance to see how you can sense of everything. 4. Yellow hat. This is where you will be really positive and just looking at all positives for you and the situation. 5. Green Hat. Then once you become really creative, you’ll and put on the green hat. Just quite often, we can only think that there’s only one option. When you go on the creative green hat, you allow yourself to think, well, what other ideas could you come and incorporate into this that might be even better. So, better get a rubric and actually thinking what else could you do that make it even better. And not by asking, shipper into an even better idea. 6. Blue hat. This is about looking at the process and often really thinking about “are you actually on the right thing”? Coz, what often happens is clients and individuals can look at its parts and think that where the challenge or to end the session is. But really, that may not be where the challenge is. So, to help you raise the process or what you’re thinking, and even some of the mechanics about how you can make about taking action. So, yes, what was said on the start, it’s about time to stop thinking too much. But when you’re thinking definitely, that can actually help you move things forward.
So, today, choose something that you can start working on and actually try on the different steps on the hat and really see how does it helps shift and give you definite answers so that instead of going in circles.
