-fights with shanks are as common as an average relationship, maybe slightly less, he's actually very good at talking it out or defusing a fight before it gets too bad

-that's only sometimes though, he's still a stubborn pirate

-so you shut the door harshly, leaving shanks to cool off in his cabin wwhile you went to scour the ship for somewhere to sleep, so you wouldn't scream at shanks

-you passed a few crew members on your way to yasopp's cabin to steal a blanket then hurried to what was once your own bedroom, before you started dating shanks

-shanks could take a variety of time to cool off depending on how bad the fight was, he was over it by a little after supper, which he had planned to spend ignoring you excpet for the ocassional cold petty stare

-but you hadn't been there, so he looked around for you ending up assuming you had waited for him to leave your shared bedroom then you went back

-but you weren't there either so shanks sat down on the bed to wait just a few more minutes. when you still hadn't showed up, he left to go find you and thankfully benn told him he had seen you

-he walked into the dimly lit room and spotted you on the couch curled up under a blanket, he immediately frowned with guilt and quietly made his way over to you

-he pulled back the blanket and kneeled down neck to you shaking you just enough for you to wake up and turn to look at the guilty man

-"babe, i'm really sorry. why don't ya come to bed and i'll make it up to you tomorrow morning?"

-too tired and cold to give much thought to put up a fight, you got up and sleepily leaned against shanks as he wrapped his arm around you steadily and walking you back to the bedroom

-he let you get into bed first before crawling in behind you, coiling his arm around your waist and pressing his lips tenderly to the nape of your neck, whispering "i love you."

-when a fight with law does happen it's usually really passive aggressive and one of you, most often law, leaves to cool off

-and this time it was you, stomping out of the room and down the hall of the polar tang away from law while he sat on the bed with a frustrated huff

-you had run into bepo who refused to leave you when he could clearly see you were upset, in fact he had started crying with you

-it was late when the fight had started, so it was around midnight when law finally dropped his remaining anger and it was quickly replaced with guilt and worry, at this time you were always laying in bed making grabby hands for him until he crawled in beside you

-so he got up and started making his way around the ship,asking each crew member he passed if they had seen you- and eventually one said he had seen you down the hall

-law hurried along the corridors reaching the room, instantly spotting you on the floor in the corner, sleeping against bepo who was supposed to be on watch, awake

-he walked over with his heart growing heavier each step, he could see the tear streaks left over and he felt awful, you had even chosen to sleep without law

-he crouched down in front of you, slipping his arsunder. your body and easily lifting you to cradle you against his chest, *room*

-you and law were back in your shared bedroom in the blink of an eye, and law moved to place you gently on the bed before climbing in himself

-you had woken up slightly, half asleep by the time he set you down on the soft sheets, but law could tell you were semi-concious so he took the opportunity to apologize, "i'm really sorry y/n-ya."

-"mm... s'okay, law."

-he still frowned, his lips meeting yours meekly as he pulled you into him, your head fell against his chest softly and sleep overtook you as law pulled the covers up over you both

One Piece Headcanoncs: A/b/o dynamics ft Omega Ace

I like to think that while Ace isn't necessarily ashamed of being an omega, he doesn't talk about it. So no one really knows.

Which would lead to Marco asking Ace when his rut is so they can have it recorded and help him keep track of it. Ace absentmindedly telling him he doesn't have a rut which immediately sets everyone off in a panic because that's not healthy what do you mean you don't have ruts?

But he cuts in and tells them when his heats are.

Marco just dropping his pencil and everyone just staring at Ace because what?

Pirate omegas aren't necessary rare but they aren't super common and they're usually easy to identify.

But the young, rookie captain? The kid who tried to kill Pops? That kid?

It's a little hard to accept right off the bat. Very unexpected.

Ace is 6'1" and packs a hell of a punch, even without his devil fruit powers. He's outgoing and pretty solidly built.

Nothing about him necessarily screams omega.

But they also think about long lashes and grey eyes that burn silver in the sunlight. How Ace doesn't look for praise or physical affection but he thrives under it each time he gets it. The dip in his waist that gives him just the slightest curves and even though he was strong, he had a lean build, and needle sharp canines.

Not that those things necessarily meant anything either.

They think about the swordsman from that rookie crew... what was it? Something with a Z. He was built like a brick shithouse from what they remember and he was an omega, at least according to Haruta's info.

Maybe Whitebeard would be slightly torn because omegas are viewed similar to how he thinks of women and shouldn't necessarily be on the battlefield.

Ace would never allow that though and he's been settled in for awhile without anyone even knowing.

Ace always wears a scent patch because he doesn't like being considered a distraction and he honestly doesn't like letting people know that much about him.

He starts slowly going without his patch sometimes though. Especially after everyone makes peace with the idea of it and encourages him to allow himself to embrace that side of hismelf.

He smells like fall islands and smoldering bonfires. Smoking cedar and pine, warm spices and citrus.

Not the traditional scent of omegas, which are usually something sweet, but it's rich. It hangs heavy in the air and on his skin.

He starts letting little chirps out when he sees someone is back from a mission or even as a greeting when he's distracted.

Small little purrs that they can barely hear when dinner is one of his favorites or someone mentions Luffy.

The louder purr that rumbles in his throat when he scents them or is close to his heat and especially affectionate.

He learns to use his scent to provide comfort for injured crewmates or to help them relax, and how anger or sadness twists his scent in a way that makes everyone on edge.

He starts swiping stuff from the crew like blankets, clothes, bedding, etc.

And it's good that he's a commander, especially with him seeming to fully embrace this side of him for the first time. He's able to scent the space as his and make a nest that they all refuse to admit is both adorable and impressive.

The commanders rooms are all made to handle ruts and provide maximum privacy, so Ace is able to have his heat in his without any problems.

While it's strange, having not only an omega commander but also one who becomes so comfortable in his dynamic, they love Ace dearly.

They're a little more on guard when he wonders off on his own, or when he's not wearing his patch and the people on the islands follow their noses to him with greedy eyes.

One time they lost him during a short trip to one of their protected islands, all of them on the verge of panicking and getting ready to start tearing the place apart before he showed up.

A clumsily made flower crown on his head, a small child on his hip, and a crowd of children huddling around him and clinging to his legs.

It's common knowledge that an omega scent is comforting, especially to children, but seeing it is entirely different.

With wind burned cheeks and flowers in his hair, a littl girl settled on his hip like she belonged there and happiness practically radiating off him, it was easy to understand how everyone gave in to their instincts just the slightest bit and let themselves imagine for just a second.

Of course he and Marco end up together, although Ace will always be all of theirs.

Ace fits with him so well, Marco wrapping around him with ease and their personalities balancing each other out. The pure warmth radiating off Ace in his heat is perfection for the Phoenix while it would have been too much for anyone else.

Marco being old enough and experienced enough to control himself and his instincts as Ace figures it all out but also clearly an Alpha with good instincts.

He brings Ace soft things to nest with, the freshest fruit he can find when they visit islands, and lets Ace ask him all the questions he has about dynamics.

Even when it's questions about things that make his teeth itch to bury themselves in the omega's neck or drag him to his room and make sure he's tucked away, safe.

Eventually Ace has a mate mark, scarred on his neck for the world to see along with Pops tattoo on his back. He now bares two marks that bind him and he loves it, especially when he never would have even considered the idea years ago.

luffy - when animals really take a liking to someone BUT ALSOOOOO when they treat animals really well!!! the way animals react to someone actually says quite a lot! maybe it’s their animal instincts???? WHO KNOWS!!!! if an animal doesn’t like them OR if they treat an animal badly, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!

zoro - when he’s dropping you off and waits for you to get inside before leaving!!!!! LIKE PLS THATS A BIG YES. zoro ALWAYS waits for you to get inside before he leaves, he really thinks it’s just common sense for someone to do that!!

law - is comfortable with silence between the two of you. being able to just enjoy each other’s presence without the need of conversation is a big thing that not everyone is capable of. but, law??? law is more than comfortable to sit in silence and just enjoy your company. he doesn’t feel pressured to fill the silence.

shanks - when you eat out somewhere and then they stack all the plates and tidy up the table a little to make it easier for the servers. BIG YES. don’t come around here with that “but it’s their job” bullshit, that will NOT fly!!! It’s respectful, and really basic manners.

mihawk - is EXTREMELY punctual. literally, he’s ALWAYS on time. it seems simple and like a no brainer, but unfortunately not everyone thinks that way!!!! it says a lot about a person when they’re constantly late to things, so when someone is constantly on time, especially for matters concerning you.... well that is just A BIG GREEN FLAG!!

Relationship Headcanons- HCs

WARNINGS: None Characters: Robin, Nami G/N Reader

There is no other person on the planet who is as patient as Robin. It is extremely difficult to actually get her to a point where she will raise her voice or become visibly upset over something.

Typically will want to resolve any conflicts through quiet conversation. The communication with her partner is unparalleled.

She actually really enjoys when her partners tries to get her to open up a bit and do less 'mature' things together. Robin knows she's a very quiet, closed-off person, so she appreciates someone who looks out for her and wants her to also have conventional fun with the rest of the crew and yourself.

Every once in awhile, Robin gets the urge to cook something for herself and her s/o. Sanji can insist all he likes that he can make something for the two of you, Robin wants to make it with her own two (or more) hands.

She has the utmost faith in her partner. Does not get jealous, and would be pretty concerned if her partner got jealous of anything she did. Isn't sure what reason you'd have to doubt her loyalty. She'd never be unfaithful.

Loves listening to you talk about the things you're passionate about. She might not say much other than a nod or a hum as you speak, but she loves the way your face lights up when you discuss your favorite things.

Hopes you would do the same for her history and archaeological interests.

Your most frequent pastime together is reading books on the deck of the Sunny, and when you finish them, comparing the plots and seeing if you'd recommend the other to read it.

Nami is your #1 supporter in anything and everything. You need a hype-girl? She's got you covered.

Will defend her s/o in confrontations, regardless of if she's typically a coward or not. She won't stand to see her s/o brought down, in any way, shape, or form.

Loves shopping together with you. You have an eye for fashion, while Nami is an expert at netting the best deals. You're a dynamic due when it comes to shopping.

Favorite place to take an afternoon nap with you is under the shade of her orange trees on the Sunny. It's where she feels the most relaxed, and with you next to her, there's nothing quite like it.

Nami might require a bit of reassurance and validation from time to time from you, but she isn't needy. Acknowledge her with a smile and she's golden again.

People think that her love language is gifts, but it isn't. She prefers actions of love, since those are almost always genuine and difficult to fake. Do things that make it obvious you're thinking of her selflessly, and show her you truly love her. That's all she could want.

Nami can be petty sometimes, especially when she feels like she isn't being listened to, so your disagreements typically turn into a few hours of separating on the ship, until you come back together to discuss how the both of you feel.
