If you cant afford or get medical transition needs, imagine your f/o(s) helping you get your affirming choice of hair and clothing

If you chose them to help you cut your hair, get a new wig or get extensions, they'll be anxious of course since they don't want to make any mistakes, wanting everything to be gradituding for you. But will still offer ideas they know as your affirming style from what you've explained to them.

Their gentle hands as the scissors go through the strands of hair, or as the different hair is placed onto your head, seeing how happy you are.

For people who wear hijabs or have anything that is limiting your look of appearance due to religion, your f/o(s) would listen to any and everything you have to explain. If you're able to put more masc or fem traits into your appearance, they'll let you take as much time to teach them how to respectfully help you change your appearance; turning themselves away so you're out of their line of sight for a moment when a boundary is almost crossed, not turning back around until you tell them they can.

If youre not able to change anything, they'll constantly reassure you that you are who you know you are, the same goes for poeple who are in restricting households or places.

They will do anything that helps you see yourself in a better light, in one where you can be comfortable with yourself.

hello! yes, selfship angst absolutely exists!!

selfshipping is different for everyone, there's people who mainly use it as a source of comfort but there's also people who also explore the bad endings of the relationship, there's people who do both at different times and every kind of explorations of your selfship are equally valid!!

i personally have some angsty stuff for my selfship (mainly 🧸🪷) in mind too, since the media the f/o in this one is from is quite dark, i just don't really talk about it. it's not stupid at all and you're absolutely free to do so!!
