I started birth control pills (combined estrogen/progestin) to treat my PMDD and they’ve been helping me a ton! I’d highly recommend asking your doctor about that as an option if SSRI’s don’t work for you.

Pre-menstrual depression is always depicted as like "He He! I had a box of icecream bars and cried while watching the Titanic!" But in reality, it's more like, "I'm standing the edge of an abyss. There is nothing good inside of me, I'm filled with rage and desperation."

It's crazy that being told how to deal with that is never a part of anyone's menstrual sex education.

There are cathedrals (birds) everywhere for those with the eyes to see (my binoculars). The world is truly so full of wonder and whimsy once you take up birdwatching. There are birds everywhere. does anyone else ever just spend hours on end planning a weekend trip you know won’t actually happen? like you just plan it for fun expecting absolutely nothing to come from it. anyway i just spent the past 5(?) hours planning a trip to Chicago to go to the pride parade and was so close to having a fully formed plan but forgot that the art museum closes at 5:00 so now i have to rearrange everything. i’m hoping i can just swap the beach and museum, the only issue is we then won’t get very much air conditioning on day 2 of my most likely imaginary trip
