Fairy Tail often gets a lot of hate for over using the power of friendship trope. While they do use it a lot, every anime does in some capacity. I think what I’ve learned over the years as I got older is that Fairy Tail is about acceptance. It’s a place for people of any background to gather and regardless of where you came from, you have a place in the guild. There’s nothing normal about that guild (lol) but they embrace that.

I feel like there’s a difference between joking about the power of friendship to straight up hating on Fairy Tail because god forbid, the main characters care about their friends. If you don’t have any ride or die friends, are they truly your friends?
