The blonde’s brown bag thudded against the table as he took a seat. Pulling out books he looks up at Joly, “How many drinks has he had already?” Enjolras sighs, not bothering to ask R himself.

“Who knows,” he laughs, “I just got here.” Enjolras stood and walked to R’s side of the table, pushing aside the sketchbook that sat there so he could sit. He tilted R’s head up to see his eyes, R reluctantly looking up as Enjolras brushed the hair from his eyes.

“Do you really care that much Enjy?” R giggles tilting forward slightly into his hands.

I just had the most wholesome interaction in the mall with a teenager who was shopping with their mom. They were wearing a Les Mis hoodie and I said that I liked it and that I was obsessed with Les Mis. They replied—“Oh not as much as me!” and I couldn’t help but laugh and then just responded with “You’re probably right.” 😭🫶🏻

Most parts of being a teen sucked but that unbridled enthusiasm for this silly story is something I look back on really fondly. 🥹
