Tarn is an idiot because if he played his cards right he could have had a hot medic husband, but man fumbled a true baddie. Like Tarn I get you idolize Megatron and want to be like him, but that doesn鈥檛 mean you have to inherit Fumbletron 5000鈥檚 inability to not fumble a bad bitch. If Tarn wasn鈥檛 pulling all that nonsense he could have been experiencing kinks he didn鈥檛 even know existed. Pharma could have given him a true religious experience. I don鈥檛 know if it would necessarily fix him, but I think if Tarn had let Pharma dom him and walk him like a dog on a leash it would rewire something in Tarn鈥檚 brain chemistry. Like Pharma is a creative genius inventing and curing new diseases left and right and is a surgeon with intimate knowledge of Cybertronian anatomy as part of his job, he probably knows how to get a motor revving in ways we cannot even imagine. A fool. This is why the writer says you鈥檝e never fucked in your life Tarn.

@madamadamiu you got me hooked on cat Minimus and I busted out my drawing app for the first time in years within an hour because I'm going feral for this. Here's a more realistic drawing of cat Minimus, sorry for the quality I did this on my phone.

I feel immediately that Megatron and the Decepticon High Command dynamic is going to be distinctly different in the Transformers One continuity due to Megatron being a lot younger than Shockwave, Soundwave and Starscream.
Even that fight scene where D-16 got the approval of the High Guard had a different flavor to it than anything, as D-16 is objectively less experienced than Starscream in combat, it felt a lot like they were letting him win and Orion Pax and Elita overlooked it because it was so out of character for D-16 in the first place to even get like that.
I wouldn't be surprised if Starscream, even with the fusion cannon pointed at him, could have very easily got out of it, since D-16 was a very inexperienced fighter while Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream were the heads of the High Guard, but instead of fighting back he just begged for mercy.
It was a test of character more than anything, Starscream intentionally egged on D-16 to that point, that's probably why everyone else submitted, ultimately, till the end, because D-16, even as Megatron, could and would never bring himself to go over that threshold when someone capitulates and begs for mercy, Starscream I suspect was trying to see what D-16 is like at his worst because he was emotionally vulnerable and volatile, and he found D-16's limits.
Which notably, is a difference between why Starscream was spared and why Sentinel wasn't, neither Sentinel nor Orion Pax plead their case, it never occurred to them to plead mercy and surrender.
Which if this is true as a character trait moving forwards, it would explain a lot if in the future why Starscream can get away with so much, and why the Decepticons as a faction would be so wonky and why they can function in Megatron's absence just fine like in other continuities, if the Decepticon High Command function more like Megatron's mentors and advisors rather than friends or conventional allies, Starscream fits pretty neatly into having the role of perpetual devil's advocate, and Starscream likely seeing Megatron as an heir to his position that the high guard needs to train and groom to be worthy, rather than the other way around due to age differences.
I wouldn't put it past any of them to do this as their main idea and long term plan for Megatron considering that they're all schemers, and again, D-16 and Orion were pretty damn young compared to any of the High Guard, that battle experience and skill just doesn't come out of nowhere, and the High Guard were the ones that did fight against the Quintessons for the entirety of the Quintesson war up until the movie, whereas D-16 said it himself to Orion Pax- he's been a miner his entire life, and he likes staying on protocol.
That being said I would not be surprised if the High Guard allow Megatron to sharpen what they basically see as his little baby fangs on them during sparring sessions and try to teach him everything they know during his exile.
I wonder if this is where Tarn comes in, like he's really obsessed with Megatron and the equivalent of Decepticon HR, so I wouldn't be surprised if we do get him, the DJD this iteration is going to have a more encompassing role rather than being a secret police, because Megatron himself craves order and Tarn lives to please, so the Decepticon Justice Division will probably actually be a literal judiciary, legislation and enforcement branch for the Decepticons for Megatron's peace of mind and need for protocol as a coping mechanism in the wake of so much upheaval of what is essentially his entire life in TF One rather than what we see in IDW or other iterations, but equally brutal.
#kid's got the moxie he doesn't have the exp#that's the vibe I'm getting here#like that one scene in rango where rattlesnake jake is impressed because he realizes that Rango would absolutely pull that trigger#that kinda vibe#but except also that one trope where the master will absolutely not take on a student until they're convinced#d-16 definitely didn't intend for that to happen but that's probably what was running through Starscream's batshit crazy head at some point#d-16 was just pissed and from his perspective Starscream was just being a bitch and he wanted to punch someone#Starscream is very punchable to D-16 at the time#now megan you have to deal with the consequences of your actions

There is something off about B-127: Spoilers
B-127 is a very interesting character in Transformers One, and I know everyone is having the joke about who's getting bumblebee in the divorce, but I have a sneaking suspicion that B-127 might actually be older than D-16 and Orion Pax, and has a lot more going on than how he actually comes off.
The writers stuck a shit ton of details in that movie that I had to do a mental doubletake and watch again just to notice all of it, so it's weird that they'd have these inconsistencies with B-127.
But B-127, while goofy does have a couple interesting lines that indicate that he might be older than D-16 and Orion Pax by a long shot and that he's got a lot more going on than he wants them to realize.
The first is that B-127 has been down there since "forever", however there's a couple things that actually indicate how long he's been down in sublevel 50.
Then he mentions that the new management prefers people to stay on task, which given the context of when D-16 and Orion Pax were dropped down there, could mean anyone from Darkwing to an unknown Cybertronian, however it might also be a subtle jab at Sentinel himself.
B-127 at first says that there's no way out, and is consistently against the map being anything important, up until Orion Pax and D-16 imply that they're not going to give it to the authorities and are going to it themselves, in which he switches gears and suspiciously knows how to get out of not only sublevel 50, but get to the surface.
Third thing, that I find the most telling is that B-127 says that he got sent to sublevel 50 because he was consistently a problem, getting repeatedly reassigned until he ended up here, which would have been easily overlooked, had it not been already established that Orion Pax has gotten away with worse shenanigans, to the point where he was a known person to cause antics and it wasn't until the Iacon 5000 that he and D-16 got knocked down to sublevel 50.
If B-127 was such a problem that he was knocked down to sublevel 50 with no opportunity for reassignment, then he would have to have been a subject of major talk amongst his coworkers, especially if he was a miner, and reassigned between so many mining crews. But D-16 and Orion Pax don't recognize him at all. And on top of that, while the whole Badassatron bit might be a cheap joke, it does demonstrate that B-127 both has an extreme vocal range and can very quickly and easily switch between high and low pitches at will.
On top of that when B-127 is first introduced, he's vaguely threatening saying: You! How did you get down here? There's no access to this level! There is nobody down here but me!
And he says that in his "Badassatron" voice, before he "realizes" that they're "real". However B-127's words prior don't exactly indicate someone who believes they're talking to a hallucination, but rather someone who is trying to shoo out an intruder and do threat assessment.
That indicates that his Badassatron voice actually might be B-127's real voice, or at the very least one that he uses to intimidate. Either way, the rest of the scene he's oddly scatterbrained compared to that strange focus before he takes off the mask, and we see that focus again when B-127 is explaining how the waste disposal trains work.
So either B-127 is lying, or he is telling the truth, and B-127 is much older than Orion Pax and D-16. It's likely that B-127 is from very early on in Sentinel Prime's reign, as the need for mining on Cybertron only was established after the Primes were killed and the Matrix of Leadership was lost, which, as it was established earlier on in the movie, was 30 Cycles ago according to Sentinel's announcement.
B-127 may have actually been born prior to the Quintesson war or during if he is actually referring to Sentinel or any of his spies as New Management, and would know that Sentinel was never actually a Prime originally.
If B-127 was there for the transition period, depending on how observant B-127 was, he would have noticed things going missing from the archives or blatantly false information going around, especially if he hung around older Cybertronians.
We also see from the sculptures, that B-127 has artistic prowess, creative talent, and doesn't seem to blink at the sight of death, and has a battle prowess that isn't seen in the other main cast. Even in the transformation scene, Orion Pax and Elita somewhat baulked for a second about killing someone for the first time, and while D-16's reaction is more focused on his newfound ability to transform, and the adrenaline rush, throughout the entire movie, B-127 has consistently shown he has no issues with killing someone.
With Sentinel's personality, it wouldn't be out of the question that at least one of the Thirteen Primes prior to Sentinel's betrayal, had plants and spies of their own to keep watch for Quintesson movements during the war in case Iacon was breached for swift alert, separate from the High Guard or the main military.
If the Quintesson war went on for as long as was implied, then it was not out of the question that there would have been moves that the Thirteen were making outside of Sentinel's notice, as even Sentinel, despite being their aide, even mentions himself that they were all talk and speeches, and was getting tired of the war dragging on, which feels off considering the context of what Sentinel was talking about.
But that means that the Thirteen have at some point been excluding Sentinel from their battle plans for some time, or at the very least, using his short temper against him to get him out of the room before a discussion of such.
So at least one of them had some suspicions as to Sentinel's intentions, and it might be that B-127 is either a sleeper agent of some sort. Either way, at the very least, it's proven that B-127 has always been able to come and go from sublevel 50 as he pleased via the chute, nay, even leave Iacon and go to the surface as he pleased, he clearly knows how, and has escaped notice this long while being suspiciously more knowledgeable about Iacon's inner workings than even Orion Pax, and all too calm and quick to react when up on the surface.
I think that B-127 might actually be playing dumb, acting young, ditzy and insane on purpose, and his constant talking a distraction from the stuff he actually doesn't want people to notice.
I dunno, we might see in the next movie if that's actually true or if I'm looking too much into it.

Hey, I think as much as we are all entitled to freak the fuck out, or perhaps feel paralyzed at the fear, reminder that even if you feel like you are, you are not alone. There's a lot of people who want to be in the revolution, but even the revolution needs cupcakes, okay? There is no single right way to protest, there is no one way to do it.
The one thing that a lot of people neglect to tell people eager to support causes, is the logistics. We need supplies, we need legal teams, we need everyone and anyone, young and old, disabled, abled, black, white, Latino, everyone in between.
The revolution is not something you do alone, the revolution is doing what you can, where you can.
The revolution is doing what you have been doing for your loved ones without even thinking about it.
The revolution involves standing and protesting, yes, bit the revolution is also the warm blanket and hot chocolate passed out on cold nights. The revolution is you finally putting that sourdough recipe your grandma gave you to good use. The revolution is doing what you can when you can, and making a sustainable community that has resources for the revolution.
The revolution is spreading awareness, and keeping quiet when the authorities are after your neighbors. The revolution is teens looking out for children while their parents are out on the streets.
It's independent people taking control of the media to broadcast awareness and accurate information on what is happening despite the risks.
The revolution is not just everyone going out on the streets.
It's everyone on the streets being fed and having water so that they can keep their signs up, their morale up.
So don't give up hope. You're not alone. Take a deep breath, bust out your hobby supplies, and start talking.

I'm kinda realizing that, but that's because whenever I used to bring up the more mature aspects of it I would basically get told it wasn't that deep and by bringing politics into it I'm ruining it, or that it's just a story about robots, among similar things. I wasn't told this on the internet or on Tumblr mind you, I am not very active on Tumblr in general, but by people I would try to talk about it to in real life would usually shut me down about it when I tried to point these things out, usually by my dad who grew up with the show.
I know that transformers and politics usually don't overlap, but it's kinda horrific how I am starting to understand how the fuck things on Cybertron got the way they were a bit too well, now having a front row seat as to literally watching the U.S. unfold to disturbingly similar events.
With how things are unfolding, it isn't really a hypothetical question of which transformer we are anymore, so much as a dangerous inevitability.
Everyone thought Rung in Lost Light was kinda unpopular because he wasn't one of the head on action type characters like Optimus or Whirl, but right now I'm realizing that we're kinda stuck in that situation where most of us are Rung and Tailgate, maybe even Pharma, Cyclonus, Whirl, Damus, or Nickel, relatively ordinary people who prior to everything were just minding their own business and trying to deal with things in their own way, people who would have likely called you insane if you told them prior to the war the situations they eventually end up in, and how fucked their government and political situation became for it to end up like this.
Because no one wanted this.

Hello, I don't usually ask questions on social networks, but I wanted to know what you think of a story where our human friend suffers an accident aboard the lost light in the Brainstrom laboratory and now the bots are able to see his thoughts. Bonus points if it's weird stuff (most of our minds are very weird), (sorry if something is poorly translated, I'm writing this with the translator) ^^)
One, I absolutely adore this concept.
Two, did you know there are people that think in pictures rather than use an internal voice?
And to top it off, people go around referencing pop culture, iconic scenes, memes, and their favorite media as well as the weird, intrusive thoughts and extreme, nonsensical daydreams...
I like to think there would be a media war between the Cybertronians that never went to Earth and only know beloved cartoons and shows and memes from the weird reenactment from the resident human's mind but with the Lost Light crew getting morphed into it versus the Cybertronians that actually had direct experience and personally downloaded those shows and movies.
As the "I Ship It" song goes, canon ground versus crack ship space.
Does anyone else remember those Naruto animation videos where the Akatsuki are drawn drunk or doing hilarious dances? The human looked up the Decepticon Justice Division, cross referenced on what they do, and immediately thought of a full sequence of the D.J.D. doing the Gang Torture Dance from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
The human thinks of sequences, including but not limited to:
Ultra Magnus as Steve Harvey from Family Feud with Rodimus with the "Nekkid Grandma!" bit
Rodimus doing "Goofy Goober Rock" because Roddy would love to be suspended in the air and dressed in wizard swag with a killer rip on a peanut-themed guitar. Drift has the legs to fulfill Patrick's fishnet-and-heels dance.
Megatron and Ratchet in The Office because he would stare deep into the camera at whatever new trouble has plagued the ship
Getaway and Rodimus doing the "Tony and Ezekiel" bit
So many fire-related memes: Elmo and the "This is fine." Dog.
The overlap of Rodimus in Gurren Lagen and Bang Brave Bang Bravern
The continuously weirder and weirder thoughts on how Cybertronian strip club would look like based on Futurama, Cyberpunk, and Night runner's Magnum Bullets. "Snu-snu" bit included. It's both highly ridiculous, strangely erotic, and absolutely terrifying at the same time to the Lost Light crew.
Whenever a mech does something stupid, the human immediately reimagines the mech in Wheel of Fortune fails, or a shoving potatoes in the exhaust
Nightbeat in a noir setting or as Sherlock Holmes
Rung is "Mister Cellophane" from Chicago
Assigned character theme songs
The last bullet causes so much drama because mechs want to have really cool or badass themes, but no! The human assigns them sex or porn songs like "Life is a Highway" and "Shut Up and Drive" and "Two Trucks," or something silly like "Barbie Girl" or the opening theme to Mega XLR or the sad song on the world's smallest violin to the poor bastard that gets stuck with the engex bill at the end of the night.

I calculated the heights of the DJD
Thanks to this post I was able to get a generally accurate height comparison approved by Alex Milne, the artist for MTMTE. This is that image:

I found the best image that shows Megatron and Tarn together and generally on the same X plane.

According to the TFwiki for IDW Megatron is 38'... so. I throw all these into Procreate to start the process...
Here, I just put in the first picture, nothing special.
Then, I scale the comic panel to match Tarn's head size and height, as close as I can. I lower the opacity of the image and add Megs, using that comic panel to size him right.
Next:
I add a ruler measuring at 38'ft (I actually used inches to keep the distances equal when adding other lines, wo it's not 100% accurate). I kept in mind that the edge of the image is not the plane they are standing on.
Then, I add the lines and numbers, and get Megs out of there before he gets killed. Using the numbers and lines, I get their heights. So here's my results:
Vos: 27.25ft
Kaon: 32.5ft
Tarn: 36.5ft
Helex: 50ft
Tesarus: 51ft
You can round up or down if it makes things easier in your writings! Hope this helps with your drawings.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I stan chaotic Earth but what about.. Cryptic Earth? Like one moment she's chaoticaly obnoxious but the next moment cryptic like the eldritch horror she is scaring crap out of Cron
Earth loves her maker, she adores him. He gave her life, and he guides her when she cannot guide herself. She creates to meet his high standards. He may sigh, but she knows he loves her too. She just wishes that sometimes he would be less strict.
"They shall go forth and devour."
"What are you talking about Earth?"
"The little ones shall follow the path of the origin of chaos. All of creation shall know their ingenuity."
"Earth-"
Sometimes Earth thinks her maker may be a bit out of touch. He doesn't seem to understand when she makes creatures that mimic him and then shows their skill. She does not understand why his emotions flutter in fear when her creations ravage one another, enforcing her vicious laws upon all the land. She does not understand why her maker detests her newest and most powerful children so.
She does not understand.
What is so wrong with her precious humans going forth to bring his will to all creation? Should they not worship the way of the Unmaker? Is it not the way of all creation to one day unravel? Humans are her greatest gift to her maker. For they shall go forth and shatter all. When they are done, they shall return to her maker, bringing forth their glorious works and the chaos they have wrought.
But then again, it is quite possible her maker is simply biding his time to praise her. Earth is very patient. She can wait until her efforts bring forth their bounty.
Earth is VERY patient.

Isn't Banzaitron Yokotron's twin brother. I think he's a decepticon? Because if he is that somehow that makes things funnier.
(Searches on TFWiki)
WHEEZES
Apparently, he isn't in TFA, but I'm digging the character.
I raise you that Banzai-tron is actually part of the Decepticon's attempts at cloning Yoketron to steal his teachings and skillset.
Instead, they got Banzai-tron, who has a very warped distortion of Yoketron's ideals. ("The strong will eat, the weak are meat.")
The true beast is actually Brother.
Yoketron was Brother's leash, and the mech isn't there...

I need to see something with Unicron losing his memory and looking all human like how Primus lost his memory, like this fucker would have to be the most eccentric, lazy fucker on the planet full stop- zero chill yet all the chill. His vibe checks are more like vibe body slams and he's damn near overwhelming in his intensity.
This man will go out daily in twelve inch heels for hours and dresses without a sweat and no one says anything even at work because he's fucking terrifying and it feels like he's wearing battle armor instead of clothes.
