I think more historical fantasies and alt histories that have gay marriage be allowed should mess around with the societal implications of this. If your aristocracy allows gay marriage, why? As a release valve for inheritance problems, like monasticism was in parts of medieval Europe? As a way of removing your failchild from the line of succession by legally binding them to the failchild of your political ally, ensuring any offspring they both have will be illegitimate? How about a society where the lower classes are allowed to be gay but the nobility aren’t? Idk there’s just a lot of options that are more interesting than “homophobia just doesn’t real��

friend of mine was sleeping whilst another friend and i were talking about nonsense. at some point we were talking about how trains honked anyway in the no horn zone that we had both lived in at one point. either without waking up, or waking up so briefly as to not disturb her sleep, our sleeping friend turned over to face us and solemnly intoned "Trains are required by federal law to sound the horn three times at a grade crossing". then she was gone again. we shook her gently- no response, out cold. she didn't remember it in the morning.

suggestions for feeling more girl-like?

my unpopular opinion on this is that it's really easy to fixate on how you present or what you see in the mirror, but what's actually gonna make you feel most like a woman is feeling like people treat you as one. the more time you spend with people who see you as yourself, the less the details will matter. trying to get yourself perfect first so no one can react the wrong way is a trap. i didn't stop hating my shoulders because my shoulders changed, i stopped hating my shoulders because it didn't seem to matter once all my friends and loved ones were showing me in our interactions that they saw me as myself. find your people.
