Ok so I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion but it is one that has been on my mind. Also I would like to say that I am impartial to all of the ships with Azriel so please don’t use this as “evidence” in any of the arguments.
I think that Elain is going to be the main antagonist in one of the books. Maybe even Azriel himself is going to stop her. So here is my thought process (a bit of a rant tbh). Sorry if this makes no sense.
No one knows what the extent of Elain’s powers are and she is just spending most of her time by herself or with the shadow twins. This would give her plenty of time to get a hold on her power and those twins wouldn’t tell anyone if she wished (yeah there is that loyalty to their high lord but we don’t really know much about them so who knows what their endgame is). Also there is the fact that there is nothing really connecting her to her sisters anymore. Nesta and Feyre always saw Elain as someone to be protected and now that there isn’t as much of a need for it anymore they no longer have such a strong connection to her.
*side note* Honestly Nesta and Feyre have proven to have a better connection between themselves than to Elain. That can be seen when Feyre goes back to the mortal realm in ACOTAR. Yes Nesta remembered everything but it was also kinda clear that Feyre was finding it difficult to talk about literally anything else besides flowers with Elain. There is the point that Feyre and Elain were close while Nesta was in her own world but we didn’t really see how Feyre and Elain interacted with one another during that time.
And from what I can tell here in the “present” Elain doesn’t really show much of a desire to hang out with her sisters. She seems to enjoy just being alone and gardening/cooking. Elain also has Lucien wrapped around her finger. He is doing all that shady stuff with Jurian and Vassa so maybe she already has something in the works. It was clear in ACOSF that they didn’t really trust Lucien. So maybe she is just sitting back using her premonitions to find the best time to strike. She also has proven herself capable of committing murder. She is quiet but also observes things which is shown with those sly remarks at solstice.
I kinda hope that Elain is a baddie and still has a lot of resentment over the engagement situation. Or I could be reading too much into this. Either way I do believe that Elain has got to have some more substance to her character and this is a simple way to give it to her. Maybe those theories about her being the new leader of the Dusk Court will be true.

Hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone had any songs that describe any part of ACOSF? I already have a playlist made on Spotify but I am trying to get up to 857 songs (how many pages are in the book).
The playlist is called ACOSF by sd0303 if anyone wants to listen.

On the ACOTAR Reddit there has been some talk of Eris being Gwyn’s father or grandfather. And honestly I think I can see that happening.
I don’t think SJM would do that to Lucien like they said.
Could Lucien be Gwyn’s father or grandfather? That idea gives me the same icky feels as when Jacob imprinted on Bella’s daughter.
So technically I think it is possible, but I don't think that it's likely.
I don't think we will ever find out who her father is, the description made it sound like her father is never going to be discovered. But her grandfather...
I honestly don't think that sjm would do that to Lucien, I mean saddling him with a granddaughter if he never even knew he had a kid in the first place, on top of Helion, on top of the mating bond, on top of having lost Jesminda? On top of all the current crap he is dealing with? And Elain being a step-grandmother or whatever? LOL.
I just can't see it. It's icky, like you said. 🤣
