Saturday 2nd December ☔️ RAIN, wind and grey sky!!! Again 😭😭😭 But for 2 hours the rain stopped and we decided to lay in transat despite the grey sky. The result of that for Matt was interesting as you can see on the last photo 😂🤣😂🤣 My super lobster able to get sunburn in any conditions! Alex's uncle kindly invited us for lunch with his son and all his mates. Their house is beautiful and it was really good fun. Oh and we met a pretty BIG iguana on the way

Friday 1st December Soon Xmas but no gift yet! Rain rain rain one word: cyclone!! Still going strong. We arrived in our new and LAST location near Galle. Super cute house on the beach. Thanks Alex Wrey! It's his uncle's place. With the sun it would be heaven, sadly for now it's just a bit boring as not much to do when raining.... Everything crossed for tomorrow to be better we only have 3 days left!! 😱

Thursday 30th November
Miracle! A break of rain! So we didn't lost one minute and walked to the beach. Even if the sky is grey it's still warm and the beach is really nice. The break didn't last long though and we got caught in a massive shower. After having lunch in a beach restaurant, we jumped in a tuc tuc back to the hotel.

Wednesday 29th November Arrived in Mirissa and the weather here is as bad - even worst! We’re in a cyclone! 😂 beautiful ending to our great trip! Food is good though and it's not at all depressing like Australia with bad weather. It's actually pretty around here and still good to see the Sri Lanka culture.😊

Saturday 26th November - Colombo We walked in Colombo to the Pettah Market and Fort district. I found myself in front of stalls selling Christmas decoration and it suddenly hit me: it’s almost Christmas! Really hard to realise we are end of November and about to celebrate Christmas when you are in a 30 degrees climate 😂.
We played the honeymoon card again! in the super nice hotel Luke booked for us. After all that was Gili and Luke’s honeymoon place ( feels nice to be here too) so we have to have our honeymoon moment here as well 🤗. They offer us a bottle of blanc de blancs, it’s not champagne but it was very nice! Fruits and a box of chocolates 😍😋 Happy! It’s so good and well welcome to have here and there a nice, clean hotel with good bathroom. Because I posted a lot of pics of good hotel rooms, that’s the one I get excited about; but the reality of travelling is not that! Most of the time we stayed in really ugly and dirty places with cold shity shower. Plenty of time I slept in my own sleeping bag to not be in contact with dirty beds. Makes you feel right at home to see suspicious stains on old looking shits. We also had many friends to accompany our nights Mosquitos thousands of them ( the travel mosquito net was such a good buy!!), bats, gekos, cockroaches and many many more! A lot of freaky insects that I don’t know the name… It was all part of the fun but with our travelling arriving to the end, on the hygiene and comfort side, we are pretty excited to comeback to London! 😝

Travel day
Saturday 25th November
Today is our last big travel day before travelling... back to London! God it's already almost the end of our big trip around the world! Well when I mean already we actually can feel we've been on the road for a while.
We will fly today from Kathmandu to Delhi and then catch a second fly in Deli for Colombo.
But before that following our shopping yesterday I have to run back to one of this little shop in Thamel to complain and ask a refund! I've been conned.

In the streets of Kathmandu.... it's normal to install giant speakers to the roof of your car for the whole community to enjoy music 😝👌🏻

Friday 24th November
Last wander around Kathmandu and... shopping! Turns out by now I'm pretty good at discussing prices. Matt was more than unhappy - his shopping patience is very limited. It's funny cause he takes aaaages to buy one thing, me I'm super quick but he still keep in his mind that we are slow because of me. Anyway 😅 we end up our successful afternoon by a visit at the Dreams Garden. A nice peaceful garden which seem totally unreal in contrast with what's out there in crazy Kathmandu. The name Dreams Garden takes all its sense. To finish this day and Kathmandu experience we decided to go to a Nepali / Indian restaurant The Third Eye. There's no chairs and you need to take off your shoes at the entrance. The food was really good, especially the Nans! Not too spicy. On our way back they were doing some work in the middle of the road... I had to take a pic to show once again the craziness of this place.
