“Oh, here and there,” he said with a shrug. Not going to explain the situation if she wasn’t going to ask. He followed her line of sight before letting a light snort. “Uh huh. That’s not exactly who I had in mind.”
She nodded, not really needing to ask any further, considering her friend made sure she knew these facts. She smiled a bit, “What? Why not? I’m sure she could show you a real good time.” she teased.

“Ah no, I’m not,” he replied, shaking his head. Turning towards the bartender to order himself a new drink before turning back to her with a grin. “Oh I plan to. And maybe I can convince a cute local girl to show me where the best beach is?” he asked, arching an eyebrow.
“Where are you from then?” she asked, taking another sip. Smirking a bit as he continued, “Oh yeah? I’m sure someone would help you.” she said, looking around the room. “Like her.” she teased, pointing at a girl who was too drunk to really even function.

“I guess when you live here, it makes sense,” he replied with a nod of his own. He’d probably do the same if he were able to to. “I suppose that’s true. But I’m glad you like it.”
“So you’re not from around here?” she asked, as if she really didn’t know. Though she did. Her friend, sitting in the booth staring at the two from the start, loved Last Track and would constantly talk about each band member in detail, whether Reagan wanted to hear it or not. She wasn’t the biggest fan, but she liked their music, she just didn’t get too involved past that. Until now, it seemed. “You should check out the beach while your here at least.” she advised, taking a sip of her drink.

“Do you go to the beach often?” he questioned casually, finishing off his own drink. Setting down the glass, but not in too much of a hurry to get a new one. “I told you it was, didn’t I?”
“I do, actually.” she nodded, “I love the sun, and it’d seem rude to not take advantage of the beach.” she shrugged. She held back a grin, “Doesn’t mean we like the same things, though this was a good call.” she agreed.

His eyes brightened a bit when she laughed, liking that he was getting a bit more of a reaction out of her. “Yeah, pretty much. I definitely wouldn’t suggest it,” he replied with a grin.
She smiled slightly, trying to hold it back a little, “I’ll try to remember that next time I’m at the beach.” she joked. Her drink arrived and she picked it up, giving it a sip and smiling a bit, “It’s pretty good, thanks.” she said.

A smirk reappeared on his own face, and he went ahead and ordered the drink for her. “The drink’s not bad,” he told her, turning back towards her. “The actual thing? Kind of awful.”
She watched with an amused look as he spoke, laughing a little at his comment, before having a chance to stop herself. “Yeah? Let me guess, sand everywhere.” she joked a bit.

It wasn’t a yes or a no, but it was a start. And it was also more than he had been expecting from her. “Of course. And what it’ll be for you?” he questioned, waving down the bartender again.
She wouldn’t give in too easy, but a free drink was a free drink and she smirked a bit at his question, “Maybe a sex on the beach, always wanted to try it.” now she was just having fun with it.

There was still a faint smirk on his face as he watched her, trying to gauge what her response would be. He had to admit this sort of back and forth was kind of fun; so different from what he was used to. “I’d probably still insist on getting you a drink. No dancing though,” he said with a chuckle.
She smiled a little, before trying to play it cool again, finishing off her drink and turning more towards him, “Then why don’t you get me that drink?” she did, placing the empty glass down. Not saying yes or no, just yet.

He didn’t really know what he was expecting her answer to be, but once she spoke up, a smirk appeared on his own face. “Then I’d really have to get you at least one drink. And possibly ask you to dance,” he replied with a slight shrug.
She bit back a grin, actually wanting to take him up on that. But she knew better. She knew who he was, she knew his reputation, and she refused to give in that easily. “And what would happen if I said no?” she asked. Though a huge part of her was already on board with saying yes.

He sat back while she looked him over, sipping on his drink casually. The smirk never far from his lips as he looked at her. “Well, I won’t disagree with you there,” he replied. “The question is, do you like trouble?”
She mulled over the question, taking another sip of her drink as she eyed him again, “Hmmm. What if I say yes?” she asked in return. An eyebrow was ached and a slight smirk was gracing her face as she leaned back against the bar.

“Oh, that’s funny. Never heard that one before,” he replied, rolling his eyes though the grin stuck on his face. He couldn’t even count the number of times the words boy band had been used to describe their band. “How about you tell me?” he questioned, giving her a smirk before sipping his own drink.
She smirked a little, holding back a slight laugh, but then eyes him up and down, sizing him up a bit. “Hm, you look like trouble. That’s about all I’ve got.” she informed him, taking a sip of her drink.

He shook his head a bit at her question. “Ah, no. I’m in a band with a few other guys, actually,” he replied. Almost enjoying this vague sort of conversation they were having. Very much hoping it would lead to more later on. A light snort escaping as she kept talking. “How cheesy. How do you stand it?” he questioned, obviously teasing her.
“Oh, a boy band? How cute.” she said, teasing a bit. She was having fun with this, and she’d keep it that way, at least for a little while. “So what part of the boy band are you? The brooding one? The sporty one? The sweetheart or the heartthrob?” she said, obviously teasing as she took another sip of her drink. Smirking at his teasing later on, “The dental plan is amazing.” she joked.

He sipped his drink while she spoke, feeling rather relaxed about the whole conversation. It seemed to be gooing rather well, despite her initial rejection. “Indie pop, I guess you would call it? Emphasis on the pop part, though,” he said with a chuckle. “Hey, someone’s got to do it, right?”
She nodded, taking another sip of her drink, before replying, “Sounds exciting. Solo artist?” she added. Shrugging after his last comment, “Very true. Better smiles for a better world, and all that.” she said, quoting her dentist’ office logo. Things were going pretty smoothly, but she as mentally reminding herself that he was off limits, no matter how charming he was.

He wasn’t going to break the charade if she wasn’t, especially if she really was clueless as to who he was. Though the smile that appeared on her face was more than enough encouragement for him. “Very nice to meet you, Reagan,” he said with a grin. “I’m a musician. What do you do?”
He wasn’t telling her everything, which she appreciated. She’d have walked away by now if he introduced himself as the bassist in Last Track, but he was keeping it simple, so she would keep talking. “That’s cool, what kind of music do you play?” she asked. “I’m a dental assistant, I know, exciting right?” she explained, half joking, trying to hold back any flirtation.

He ordered his drink and leaned against the bar, facing her. He was having a hard time reading this girl, and he wasn’t sure if she was just playing him or if she genuinely didn’t know who he was. Either way, he wasn’t one to turn away from a challenge. “I’m Heath. And your name would be?”
She took another sip of her drink, taring at him, wondering how he’d react to her. Smiling a bit as he introduced himself, “Reagan.” she introduced. Turning to face him more, eying him up a bit, “So what do you do, Heath?” she asked, starting a casual conversation.

One eyebrow arched just a bit as she turned him down, but he wasn’t deterred. There was a chance he just had bad timing, offering to get her a drink after she had already ordered one for herself. So he tried again. “Okay. Can I get the next one then?” he asked, waving down the bartender.
She pretended to think about it for a minute, “Maybe if you tell me you’re name first?” she asked. She had the trump card here, and she wasn’t letting it go easily, though she was sure her friends she had come here with were looking at this situation in awe.

He didn’t make any move to speak to the girl, waiting for her to make the first move. And he figured once she saw who he was, it would only be a matter of time. This wasn’t exactly his first walk in the park. Sure enough, it only took a few seconds for her to turn and see him, though he was a little surprised at her reaction. The flat tone of voice not what he was used to hearing. But he turned towards her anyway, still smirking a bit. “Depends. Can I buy you a drink?” he questioned.
A part of her wanted to take him up on the offer, but then she thought more about it. How many times had he used this move? Her drink arrived and she put down some cash to pay for it, “I’m good, thanks.” she said, politely smiling before picking up her drink and taking a sip.
