The squad of warp spiders is complete.

I am especially fond of the last one I built, bracing and ready to teleport through the warp with all the lightning around him.

Probably the single coolest miniature I own.

The helmet parts I wanted to use weren't compatible, so I had to snap off a part of the mask to make it fit into the jaws, then fill the gap with glue hoping it would cover it. I am very content with the result.

Pro tip: warp spiders have so many helmet options that you can give all of them a special head piece (unfortunately I realized this only after assembling the first one)

Probably my best painted mini yet. Very proud of the purple trim on the helm and the glowing effect on the shield.

Decided to go a little crazy on the banner, freehanding the stripes and symbol (which kinda looks like weed now that I think about it but it's supposed to be a simple dragonfly).

I think they should let me request that when I die someone transport me down to the bottom of lake superior so that my corpse can be creepily preserved in her icy and deoxygenated waters for all of time. I think that if I put this in my will someone should be legally required to do it.

Why are there no medium-sized giant mushrooms in fictional media?

I love a whimsical forest with magic fungi, but I noticed that they are always either realistically sized or as giant as redwood trees, no in between.

I don't think I have ever seen a single fictional mushroom the size of a bush, or a desk, or a person.

Pro tip: if this happens to you, you can just wait for it to dry and then spray another layer of matt varnish (this time properly rattling it) and it will cover the shiny effect completely!

Soooo turns out I didn't shake the varnish enough and now my Wraithblade has a lucid patina instead of a matt one. Guess the shiny one will be the captain.

My headcanon is that Shining Spears and Crimson Hunters play tactical shooters and racing sims against each other as training.

Very funny thought. Might draw it.

This third Dire Avenger was really tricky to paint, I kept colouring over the lines and having to fix things.

In the end it's the best one until now tho

I also improved the paint job, adding golden rings to him and his comrade's blue arms to make them pop more and making the dark orange shade more wavy.
