LOGORAMA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAKopCwGlcc
Logorama Is a piece created by an artist named H5. This piece was definitely much different to the rest. While it offered a rather childish vibe due to the amount of colour, it did hold a lot of adult content within it, such as the language. The piece did have a vague storyline to it, though it wasn’t very clear at all. From an obvious perspective, the piece was aiming to use as many logo’s as possible, promoting a variety of different companies. Going from food, to clothes, to social media sites. This video includes a lot of colour, perspective, scale, tone and typography.

MUTO
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuGaqLT-gO4
This piece was created by an artist names Blu. The piece is created using stop-frame animation, and it is a picture morphing into one thing, then another. It begins as a rather peculiar blob, before “walking” across, blending with the surroundings. The most interesting thing about this piece is how it was created. Each drawing would have roughly taken 10 minutes, just to simply be rubbed out and redrawn after one picture is taken. The drawings weren’t also restricted to walls only; this is proven when we see the creation moving onto the pavement. This animation gave me a lot of retro vibes, something you’d see in either a music video or a street dancing film. Giving off that graffiti style.

Women Are Heroes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNzXKEC333c
Created in 2012 by an artist names JR, Women are heroes is a piece created in remembrance of a group of young boys that were shot dead in the middle of a town in Brazil. The artists visited the mothers of the dead boys and asked if he could take a picture of their eyes. Using these pictures, he recreated them on the walls, roofs, transport and floors of Brazil. Being sure that the eyes were looking down on the square. The square where they were gunned down. The paintings were created in black, white and grey paint, using various paintbrushes. The animation gives me a sense of pride and power. I believe it is the strongest piece in the emotional category, along with being the best one to write about. It holds a sense of hope. That there aren’t just bad people in the world, but people within it that want to do some good.

Darkness Lightness Darkness
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1THMc9g5SaU
Created in 1989 by an artist named Jan Svankmajer. DLD is 7-minute long animation taken in what appears to be either a cardboard box or a paper box. Created to look like a simple room with a light and two doors, one either side within it. The animation begins as two hands, both knocking at a door. Then it continues to have certain other body parts knocking before bursting through. The hands were followed by the eyes, then a pair of ears, etc. From the looks of the parts, they are sculptured using clay and recorded using a film camera. When I was watching the animation, it instantly reminded me of a childhood program I use to watch as a kid. It was called Grizzly Tales for Gruesome kids. It gives off that disturbing and awkward vibe to it. While discussing within our class, a lot of people felt the same way. Though, In some sections, others found it rather comedic, while experiencing a sort of awkward educational lesson on anatomy and reinterpretation.
