Kaeya says, “So, are you in charge?”

Aether shrugs. “Kind of. But I listen to what the people want.” 

“Where’s Lumine?” Childe asks. “She’s somewhere around here, isn’t she?”

“She’s resting,” Aether says. “You can see her later.”

“When?”

“When she wants to see you. ”

Chapter 28 is up!

“Man, this is one of those hipster places, isn’t it?” Childe mutters.

Diluc resolutely ignores him. What a pain . However, he did do something useful. When they met outside a few minutes ago, he confirmed that Emory’s vehicle had been in the city last night and subsequently left it, headed southeast. He’d been speeding. But once he hit the highway, they could no longer track him. Still, even a general direction is better than nothing. There’s only so many places Emory could’ve gone. And if he had to stop along the way, then there are more chances to pick up the trail.

I absolutely do not have to hand it to the Fatui , Diluc thinks as he looks toward the bar on the right-hand side of the room.

Chapter 27 is up!

Kaeya’s gaze wanders. Again, he meets Diluc’s eyes. It must be hard for him to watch Kaeya being so casual with a Fatuus. The stormy expression on his face is an indication of either his overprotective impulse or distrust. Neither is warranted. Childe makes Kaeya uneasy, but he has no reason to hurt him, and Kaeya isn’t going to put Mondstadt in danger just for some information about Lumine. (For one–and Kaeya doesn’t know how Diluc would feel about this–if it came down to a trolley problem, Kaeya would let Lumine get run over. His conscience might twinge at this, but it’s a natural choice to make, isn’t it?)
