:: ‘ How to revise! ‘ ::
Aka better grades.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
1. I recommend you take notes, no need to write every word down (unless you can quickly and fairly neatly). Instead write a summarised form. (I’ll talk about handwriting at the end).
2. When taking notes don’t use 30 different colours (more difficult to revise, memorise and make). Instead stick to using 1-2 colours, make sure the colours match. You can also use a similar or the same coloured pen to do small subtitles etc.
3. When do you revise see all the different methods that there are for studying / revising, then make sure you see / know which one works for you the best. (E.g blurting, Pomodoro..). Of course, different methods work better with different subjects (you won’t be able to use the same method for a lot of subjects!). Instead I recommend doing a bit of research (TikTok studytok helped me a lot!!).
4. When you are revising and have a goal for the grade you want (80% / A / 70% / B etc..) you put the effort needed for that grade (depends on your level of learning, how much you paid attention, how much you care about the result you’ll get..etc). Even if you fail to achieve your goal, there will be other chances (unless it’s a GCSE or A level..)
5. DONT STUDY ONE NIGHT BEFORE. (This only works for people who can understand everything easily / naturally smart. IN MY EXPERIENCE!!). Instead study 2-4 nights before (again depends on the level of knowledge).
6. Use your online resources, there are a lot of practice questions, games and other interactive or blunt ways you can study and test how well you know the topic online.
7. Try not to eat sugary snacks as that will give you a boost of energy for 10-15 minutes then you’ll feel tired / burnt out (More about avoiding burning out later). Instead try eating fruits you like (I love eating grapes or frozen grapes while studying or drinking a smoothie).
8. Don’t push yourself too hard. Unless you are capable/ used to it don’t study past 8 - 9 pm, since most people by then begin to start feeling tired etc. If you’re tired you can’t remember that well. (Although if you prefer studying at night you can just make sure you have enough lighting!). Instead reduce to studying between 4-5 pm - 6-7 pm (depends when your school ends and extra curriculars).
9. To fix your handwriting you can try printing off practice sheets, changing pens, changing the way you hold your pen (TikTok can also help, search handwriting / how to get neat handwriting!).

::’ How to make your life easier! ‘::
Middle / Hs Student edition!!
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
- Attitude! -
If your mindset is always focused on the bad things or annoying things in life, you’ll mostly be sad.
If you switch your mindset to focus on your achievements, good work and fun things in your life, it will definitely help you out.
If you don’t have any memorable achievements try making some.
E.g: Getting a good grade, winning a tournament/competition, learning how to do something ..etc!!
Or if you are recovering; brushing your teeth, washing your hair, taking a shower, eating a meal..etc!!
You could also try journaling/documenting all your good memories, whenever you’re feeling sad (which is completely normal! Please don’t feel like it’s wrong. Make sure you feel ready to heal/change your mindset when comfortable!!) it could make you feel proud of yourself.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
- Appreciation & Acceptance !! -
Whenever you have a goal to reach, and it’s taking a while; it’s better if you focus on the minimal progress you’ve made, if it’s taking you a certain amount of time to achieve the goal then so be it!
If you can’t do something, and you really really can’t do it I mean, it might be because you are pushing yourself too hard or you need to approach the task in a different way.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
- School! -
Now I know around 98% of kids hate school, the other 2% either matured way too fast or are genuinely happy.
It can help if you’re nice to the people around you, and don’t talk back to anyone picking on you. I know it’s hard to not give a shit about bullies for some people but you can learn to deal with it; Coaching can really change your perspective of things. If you’re a teen I recommend a Youth Coach if you’d like to give it a chance!
If you study 3 days a school week and do your homework the day it’s assigned on can really help you with earning free time and good grades!
If you hate school then you’re probably majority of the kids (I won’t annoy you with why school is good I pinky promise) but you can still dedicate minimal effort so you pass your classes with a C- or a B!
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
- Responsibilities! -
Whatever the responsibility may be, it’s easier if you see if you’re actually mature / prepared enough for the responsibility. If not then try to not do it (or talk yourself out of it however the situation works.) which may help.
If not then just try your best to do it, if you can’t do it, then you can’t do it; it’s doesn’t make you a worse person. It makes you normal.

Uk secondary edition! (Ks3!)
3/3

Year 9!
- GCSE Subject choosing -
Choose the subjects which you genuinely like and not because of the teacher or your friends.
I personally recommend that not all your subjects are “textbook subjects” because then you’ll have 8 thick textbooks to know by the end of year 10, not very fun.
You are the oldest in KS3! Be a good example, or be Normal.
- Studying -
You should have a system now, make sure you study around 30 minutes minimum a day. (I have a routine in part 2 which you can see!)
Most tips and stationery are in parts 1 and 2 which you can check out! Some might be useful for you.
Your notes have to be useful, make them neat and organised. You will likely need to do extra research for essays and your knowledge on general. The year 9 end of term exams aren’t very easy.
You need effort and motivation or else you’re gonna feel like absolute shit during this year. You’re either collected or not.
- Social -
You most likely have a friend group, if you don’t know how to socialise check out part 1 or 2.
Don’t participate in drama and don’t shit talk if you don’t want to be shit talked.

Year 8!
- Studying! -
Now that you’re in year 8 you’ll be learning more things. Aka “Building on the basics” the basics being what you learned in year 7! It helps to revise all your notes after school! Just have a read-through for 5 minutes for each subject!
(For school supplies and study methods you can have a look on TikTok,Pinterest,YouTube or Google. I have a brief list of supplies and study methods on my yr 7 post!)
Please if you haven’t already start keeping to a routine. For example (my routine):
7:30 am - wake up
7:35 am - Make bed
7:38 am - Breakfast
7:45 am - Brush teeth, skincare and hair
8:00 am - Get dressed into uniform
8:05 am - accessories
8:08 am - Check bag and pack snack
8:10 am - shoes and jacket if it’s cold
8:13 am - leave for school
8:30 am - 4:30 pm school
4:48 pm - take uniform off
4:50 pm - unpack lunchbox and rest until 5:15 pm
5:15 pm - do homework that’s assigned
5:50 pm - Revision
6:30 pm - Adding extra stuff to my notes
6:50 pm - finish studying
(Night routine + rest)
As you can see it’s a pretty simple 1hr 35m study routine which for me is very effective. Try and develop your own routine because it can keep you on track and really lowers the chaos level.
You can start wearing light makeup if you wish. (TikTok has great examples)
Start making your notes more descriptive, and write down anything YOU think is necessary + the required notes.
When you are taking notes stick to a colour scheme on that page, it helps if you don’t have an entire rainbow in your notebook. Also don’t highlight EVERYTHING, only what’s highlighted on the source you’re copying from and a few extra things that you feel you need for revision and exams. (Keyword :etc..)
I’ve seen this a lot when I was in year 8, people make their titles size of half the page in calligraphy. It takes up class time and is not needed. Try making a simple one or two line title with your pen or highlighter.

- Appearance! -
l'm guessing you probably wear uniform!
For girls I recommend rolling your skirt up once if you have knee length skirts. If you have a dress then try have them mid way. If you have ankle length skirts then leave them as so!
(Sorry!)
If you are allowed to wear accessories, I recommend small necklaces, simple rings and crystal or beaded bracelets. Any hair accessories which match your uniform can also help!
If you aren't allowed accessories then get cute shoes! Please make sure they fit into the description of the shoes you need! For me personally I have Mary janes! But depending on your uniform you can wear doc martins or
"ballerina" shoes! You can also have a backpack of your liking and packed lunch, they don't need to match and they don't need to have specific colours (unless your school requires you to) keep it simple and cute!
If your school requires you to have your hair up and you care about that rule then I recommend half up half down, ponytail with your hair curled, braids or anything off Pinterest/TikTok!
If you are allowed nail polish or don't care if you aren't allowed, I recommend white, blue or black! Or whichever matches your uniform or is to your liking!
Please wear deodorant and body mist/cologne, it's not flattering if vou smell like a dumpster!
(This is copy and pasted, I can’t give more advice on appearance.)
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
- Social! -
Now that you have a friend group from last year you can stick to them.
I recommend still trying to talk to people and being nice and maybe make a couple light friendships because IF your friend group breaks apart you’ll still have people to hangout with.
(If you want tips on how to make friends etc. go to my yr 7 post aka part 1)
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
(Sorry that this was short!! I’ll post yr 9 tmrw or later today!)

Uk secondary edition! (Ks3!!)

Year 7!
- Studying -
First year of secondary! It’s not the most important year of secondary, but I recommend paying extra attention to the most difficult subjects, because in the next years you’ll be building onto your year 7 knowledge. If you know the basics well you’ll have an easier experience in the future!
You don’t need super expensive and fancy things to have pretty notes. If you’d like recommendations for stationary they’ll be at the end of this post!
Please start evolving your studying method, it’s crucial to have an efficient and not super tiring study method. You also don’t need to study for 3 hours everyday. Studying session / routine will be included at the end of this post!
You don’t need to not he social just because you want good grades. Here as well try and start balancing between, fun, free time, school and sports! It may take a few tries!
Please ask the teachers for help if you need help because they are there to help! If you’re too embarrassed to ask in class write your question down on a sticky note and ask after class or in break!
Also if you aren’t a reader already and your English grammar, spelling or speech is bad I recommend reading! Now I didn’t like reading until I found the correct books! Try different genres and levels of reading depending on how good your English is! It can really boost your grades and your knowledge! (When I started reading I went from C - A-!) No promises, this might not work for everyone, you also need the motivation and want to learn.

Have a friend group of 4/5 or 1/2 close friends! (Both works!) People change a lot during secondary, you will likely loose friends, but will gain new ones! Of course you can make friends in any ratio but that’s how I personally had a good experience, it will be different for other people.
If you aren’t good at making friends I recommend trying to talk to other people who seem lonely. Also have a pleasant and approachable expression in your face, maybe people will approach you! If they do then try small talk! (Google has small talk starters/conversation starters which you can write on a sticky note!)
If you’re extroverted then it will be easy for you! But don’t force yourself into any situation if doesn’t matter the situation, it’s not pleasant for anyone.
Please stay out of drama, it will only get you a bad reputation. Don’t shit talk / talk bad about people, or if you do then don’t be surprised or offended when people talk about you.
