Character ref for Jamil, the Blaziken Inquisitor from the wonderful country of Kogane. One of the earliest characters I came up with. He is supposed to be one of the early antagonists to the other OC's I made. Finally, I managed to settle on a design that I like.
Lore:
Jamil was once a member of the Koganese Throne Guard and tasked to look over a small royalist noble family in the south of the country. he grew close to them, especially the children, but in a fateful night, the family residence was destroyed by an unknown enemy. Few of the Pokémon that survived this night could say who is responsible for the attack, but Jamil saw it with his own eyes. He had faced this enemy during the attack. A "four-armed demon", he called it. But he was too weak and was cast aside like he was nothing, being only able to watch as the fires devoured the city, the residence and all who were hiding within, with the sight of the four-armed demon being burned into his mind.
His survival and his failure to protect the family made him feel great shame and unworthy of his duties, and so he left the Throne Guard. But he desires justice, and knowing the enemy he confronted is a creature of darkness, he joined the Arcane Inquisition. All his mind is focussed on finding the creature responsible for the death of those he had sworn to protect and learned to love.
His efficiency in dealing with heretics and demons quickly earned him the command over a small unit of misfit inquisitors. His hatred and his relentless drive for justice pushes his team on and on, going after even the tiniest hints of demon activity and heresy in the most remote parts of the world. But the tiny hints just lead to tiny rewards. Small heretical cults, human artifacts and relics, the one small demon here and there, and he never gets close to the mysterious four-armed demon.
Until one day a letter, carrying a holy seal, lands in his hands, giving him hints about a human presence in the far and remote west, a presence that might be connected to the family which died that one night in Kogane.

Enneke taking a rest in a battle axe after a fierce fighting.
So ended the fourth of the Dragon Wars, after many years of strife, and there was relief and hope for a time in the courts and hearts of Pokemon. And the hosts and knights of the fairy kindred marched under flowers and song to where they had departed so long ago. The Dragons and their heretical servants were scattered across the lands and their machines torn down, but their dark allies and Demons were not completely destroyed. Many of the Dragons repented and returned to the guidance of the gods and their servants, yet also still remembered their enemies in their hearts. The dark tunnels beneath the island of Skir were filled and the gates sealed, but deep under the earth the caverns still remain as a harbour of evil. Some remained to watch over the island, but none settled there for the dread of war clung to the soil, and because the burning mountain that stood high over the island and the former green meadows of the Emerald Hills were blackened with ash. Countless Pokemon of the Fairy kind and many other kin and Dragons who were their allies perished in the battles and the crossing of the sea. The high king of the Riverland was no more, and his realm would not find peace until long after. Those who had joined the host of the Fairies in search of glory and honour now departed in sorrow, and once more the kindred of Pokemon grew estranged.

That was fireworks blowing up.
Cybertruck blew up outside Trump's hotel in Vegas. Wild footage, I've never seen an EV flat-out detonate like that and I'm thinking that it wasn't the battery.

I like how the place names of early medieval Wales sound like Elvish Tolkinian words. "Ceredigion" or "Gwrtheyrnion" could be places in Beleriand.

The iron law of natutal selection dictates that even useless or irrational genes and memes will persist as long as they are not a disadvantage on a large scale for human survival.
There are some snakes and spiders that bite you. Some even can kill you. So fearfulness as a cultural meme has a selective advantage.
Studies show that babies are not afraid of snakes
Scientists launched reptiles into the nursery to assess the reaction of the kids. The result killed: the crumbs perceived the reptiles as toys, and some tried to eat them
