here’s the dealio: i wanted to be back writing this week now i’ve got these job apps under control, but i just got some bad news from my dad which is probably going to keep me away for a bit longer.
my grandad’s been in and out of hospital for about a year and a half now, but it seems like he’s losing the fight. he was in a stable condition when my mum rang yesterday but today he’s severely deteriorated to the point he’s back in palliative care. he managed to make a remarkable recovery the last time this happened, but thanks to the prolonged cold weather we’ve been having it’s been taking its toll and it’s likely his body won’t be able to fight this time.
it’s not really come as a shock but it’s never easy to come to terms with, so i might be quiet on the message/blog front for a while.
edit: he passed away this morning so this blog is on an indefinite hiatus for the time being, at least until after the funeral. i might do a soft reboot when i’m back but tbh i’m not entirely sure (my priorities just aren’t writing rn).
