Jasmine walked into the room, smiling as she saw the work Loki had put into the dinner.

“You did all this for me?” she asked feeling flattered.

Her smile widened as he kissed the back of her hand. She couldn’t believe how lucky she was she was to have the God of Mischief himself go to all this trouble for her.

“Thank you, my king,” she said. “I knew there was a reason I love you.”

Loki was just finishing laying out the table and lighting the candles when the front door opens. He turns from the table and gives her a little sheepish wave "i may have made us a nice romantic dinner to eat and have a bath planned out for the two of us tonight or we can skip the bath and watch some movies on the tv and cuddle until we both fall asleep." Loki then walks over to Jasmine and takes her hand, raising it to his lips to place a kiss to the back of it "Your table is waiting my Queen."

Jasmine smiled, returning the hug.

“A surprise?” she asked. “And what is this surprise, my king?”

Despite Loki’s association with the Avengers, there were still those who saw him as a monster. Yet Jasmine knew this “monster” to be the sweetest and most romantic man she had ever been with.

"How are you today my lovely Jasmine? i have a surprise for you tonight so be ready for that and no, you do not have to dress up in fancy clothes, the surprise that i have in mind doesn't have anything to do with going out but staying in and having a good time having time with each other." Loki takes her in his arms and pulls her gently to him "in fact, you might want to get your sweats out and put them on for the night."

Jasmine couldn’t believe what she was hearing! That Nat had been groomed to be an assassin! That everything was taken from her without her consent! Jasmine sat next to Nat, trying to comprehend everything she learned.

“No, I don’t think that makes you an awful person,” Jasmine told Nat. “I don’t want kids either but to have the decision forcefully taken from you like that? You don’t even have the right to say no!”

“Relax, sug, we both know I ain’t dying,” Jasmine reminded her.

It was true. Jasmine’s healing factor could immediately put her in tip top shape no matter how injured she got. Whether it was a cut, a fire, or a gunshot. It was a side power she got when she had first started to manipulate plants.

“You’ve always been there for the Avengers and for me,” Jasmine pointed out. “Why shouldn’t I feel like I can count on you?”

"That might not be such a good idea Jasmine. i can be very sneaky in the ways that i do things and relying on me is something that i would suggest no one do." Natasha then looks at the other woman and chuckles "i have come to find that i have come to rely on you also so don't go and die on me."

“You sure you don’t want me to grow some ingredients?” Jasmine asked. “I can just wave my hand and give you whatever you need.”

It was true. There was no need to shop for plants with Jasmine around. Not when she could just grow whatever she wanted with a flick of her wrist.

"Of course i do love and i might need you to be but right now everything really is fine." He looks at her with a neutral look on his face then tilts his head to the side "i'll let you know if i need you to help me but right now it takes some of my magic and a gentle touch." Loki then turns back to the table and starts to add ingredients to the spell that he's working on."

Jasmine leaned her head on his chest, relaxing in Loki’s arms. Sure, she’d gotten a lot of flake for dating the god of mischief but she didn’t care.

“You’ve never done anything to hurt me,” she reminded him. “You really don’t find me boring?”

Jasmine’s life was anything but ordinary but she never thought Loki would find her interesting.

"it's debatable whether you would be considered sane for that utterance my love." He walks over to Jasmine and wraps his arms around her chuckling "i never have liked the sane ones though, to boring for this prince of lies. i love you anyway though but you might not want to trust me so much."

“Somehow, I doubt a life’s sentence would be any better,” Jasmine remarked. “Plus I wouldn’t be able to visit you in an Asgardian prison.”

It was true. She had gotten to know Loki by being able to visit him at the SHIELD prison. Had Loki lived on Asgard, they would have never met and she couldn’t imagine her life without him.

"i am beyond frustrated, they will never trust me and that will cause problems for the teams communication. They don't want me here but they want me to pay for my crimes and then they won't even listen to me when i have information that could win a battle for them." He growls a little and the runs his hands through his hair "i should have just picked the prisons under Asgard for my punishment."

“Last time you went, he lined up a fiance,” Jasmine reminded him. “What if he tries to bribe you into marrying her?”

Jasmine couldn’t stand the thought of Loki marrying another woman. Of him being happy with her, having a family with her. Maybe it made her sound psycho but Jasmine did have a jealous side. Even if she tried not to let it overpower her.

"i unfortunately happen to be a prince of Asgard still and my father will not rest until he has a complete record of my conduct in this realm as i serve my punishment out. That means that i have to be there so if he doesn't like the things that i have done he can throw my in the prisons under Asgard to serve it." Loki sighs and looks at her "Either way i will be coming back here."

“Nightmares can feel real,” Jasmine pointed out. “Especially when it’s about something you’ve experienced.”

Jasmine knew that Loki was still experiencing night terrors from his time with Thanos. Waking up in sheer terror.

“And what happened to you was real,” Jasmine insisted. “You didn’t imagine what Thanos did to you.”

"i know that my love and the fact that some of those times are my fault makes me feel even worse. i don't mean to have so many nightmares but it just happens." Loki then looks at her "i don't need anyone to watch over me while i sleep Jasmine, i'm a grown man i should be able to tell the difference between real and imagination."

Jasmine closed her eyes, focusing on Loki’s smooth hands running through her hair. Sure, the Vikings knew him as the God of Mischief but there was no one who could make her happier than him.

“By anywhere, you mean we can go out to eat or to see a movie or do you want to take me to Italy?” Jasmine teased.

“Actually, my mom ain’t a nurse anymore,” Jasmine admitted. “She’s a vet now. She only went to nursing school because she needed the money but, believe me, she didn’t love it.”

That much was true. Her mother never enjoyed being a nurse.

“I never wanted to be a nurse either,” Jasmine said, bandaging Strange up. “I want to be a writer but then my powers came in and I had to go to the Xavier Institute. After leaving, I became a reporter because I thought it could help me get new story ideas.”

“You mean it, sug?” Jasmine asked, putting her hand on his. “There ain’t any lingering feelings I need to worry about?”

Jasmine hated sounding like the jealous girlfriend but she had been through this before. Dating a guy she was crazy about only to realize she wasn’t first in his heart. Last thing she wanted was for history to repeat itself.

"Sorry about running into your ex," Jasmine said. "I just hope it ain't going to ruin our night out for you."

Over time, Stephen had come to terms with Christine's absence from his life. She'd moved on, and deserved happiness in whatever path she followed. He'd also made peace with the knowledge that he'd never win her back. The only pain point he hadn't found the soothing balm for was how foolish he'd been while she was in his life. He'd squandered something precious with a despicable attitude. Now that Jasmine was in his life, and they'd forged a strong bond, he promised himself he'd never let that happen again. Strange erased his troubled thoughts with a sincere smile.

"Don't worry about it, Jasmine. It won't stop us from having a wonderful night together. I promise."

“So the Magic Man thinks I’m the magical one,”Jasmine teased.

Ever since she had met Stephen, she had been fascinated by his world. Now, thanks to Wong, it sounded like she could be part of it.

“I know some mutants have powers connected to magic,” Jasmine explained. “Kurt goes through another dimension when he teleports and Magik’s the queen of Limbo and Wanda, well we both know that story, but Beast told me my powers came from plant cells in my bloodstream. I never imagined I could connect to a whole dimension.”

Jasmine's ID card from her time at Godolkin University in The Boys Verse. I checked out their website and I can not WAIT for the show next week! It'll give me an idea of Jasmine's life there and the guy who played Brother Justin in Carnivale is going to be in it! Which is an HBO show very few people know about.
