Hi!
I mean, yeah dj grooves is shirtless in the game but i guess i was expecting most people to give him a shirt lol
I’m actually debating if i should draw him with a shirt or not when i draw a full body picture of him… eventually lmao
Oh! Yeah that tracks. I just always thought of him withoutnhis shirt on, preferring an open coat and higher pants
I think I also kept the shirt off to have his vitiligo show the stomach pattern
Also thats totally not spelt right but I don't remember how to spell it

Here we go, my first story in a while, thoughts and feedback appreciated!
Witnessoja
The feeling of accomplishment following a long period of habitual procrastination or failure
Tumblr media
She shut her eyes tight, trying to overpower the burning feeling behind them. The colors were still staining her eyelids. It hurt to even think about what had happened. Those selfish kids… how could they side with the bad guys!?! Couldn't they see just how truly vile they were? She grimaced slightly, pushing herself up a bit. How long had she been lying there? Long enough to be stiff and sore she guessed.
After what felt like an eternity, she opened her eyes again. Immediately she could tell something was wrong. The palace around her was no more, in fact it didn't seem like there were any walls nearby. She scrambled up to her feet, scanning the horizon for any signs of life, any bit of information that said she wasn't alone here. She couldn't handle that, not again. Nothing. There was nothing. Just this endless deep blue void in every direction. She could faintly make out what looked like the silhouette to some kind of tower...
She was suddenly aware of the constant sound of ticking, like that of an old pocket watch. Almost comforting somehow. It struck her as odd that even as she started walking, the ticking did not change. It didn't get louder or quieter. She wasn't getting any closer or farther from the source.
The ground itself was strange too, if it could even be called ground. She supposed it was more of a floor. Large white platforms would pop up in front of her as she neared the edge of another. Blue crystalline lines detailed each and every platform, each its own work of art. She had to admit, it was kind of beautiful.
How far had she traveled now? She wasn't any closer to the distant clock tower, but she had been walking for at least an hour now. Her body begged her to stop, each step taking more effort than the last. She didn't want to admit it, but she was lost. What was she supposed to do? Just give up? Wait for someone to maybe find her? She couldn't help but scoff at the idea. Like anyone would ever come looking for her.
After a bit more walking she finally gave in, sitting down on the edge of the platform. Her feet dangled over the edge, standing out against the deep blue void. It was almost peaceful.. If it wasn't for that consistent ticking noise. It wasn't intrusive, but instead just lingered in the back of her head.
She closed her eyes again, taking a few deep breaths. She hadnt had a moment to herself like this in so long. A moment to relax, to think about herself and nobody else.
Maybe it wasn't worth it, all the problems that came from her mission to get rid of the bad guys. Maybe they were right to not help her….No. What was she thinking? This was their fault! If they hadn't been such selfish little kids..!
"You look pretty lost in thought there." The sudden voice startled her, she found herself slipping off the edge of the platform. This is it, isn't it? She was going to die! She shut her eyes tight and braced for the end…. Only it didn't come. She slowly opened an eye to see an older man holding her hood, he had saved her. Why?
She immediately noticed that he definitely wasn't human. The man had three eyes, definitely too many for one person. He wore a gray striped suit jacket over a faded lilac dress shirt. As he set her down she noticed that he was floating a few inches off the ground. Definitely not human.
"What's wrong, cat got your tongue?" She spun around to face the new voice. At first glance this entity didn't seem all that intimidating. He was shorter than she was, not floating and only had two eyes. Then she noticed the weird symbols. At first she brushed it off as some weird face paint, but paint didn't glow. She doubted they could be scars either, after all, scars aren't bright blue. Who were these people? She didn't know, but she could tell that they clearly had more power then her at this moment… so she ran. What else was she supposed to do? She started sprinting back the direction she came, trying to get away from them.
"Well, that was a little delayed." Tim commented as he watched her sprint off. "But I suppose she was just taken out." He shrugged, taking notice of Timmys confused expression. "What's that look for?"
"Well… I mean shouldn't we be going after her? I mean that's why we came here in the first place."
"Oooohhh.," Tim chuckled softly as he turned back to watching as she ran away. "Nah, dont worry about it. Just watch." He gestured towards her. She was reaching the end of the visable platforms.
She looked back at the two entities, supprised to find they weren't chasing her. Her pace started to slow, but she didn't take her eyes off of them. They could just be waiting for her to let her gaurd down. How far had she gone now? There was a decent amount of distance between them, but ahe could still se them so it couldnt be that far.
She didnt quite process what happened untill it was already over. She felt her foot bump the edge of a platform before there was suddenly nothing under her feet. She was falling, and this time there was not some weird old man close enough to save her. What a way to go, just running away like a coward. She hated that thought. Once again she shut her eyes tight and waited for the inevitable.
Tim hummed softly as he watched her fall of the edge before turning his attention to the ground in front of him. "Three… Two…. One-" Tim mused, counting down as he waited. Just as he finished counting she appeared in front of them. She was curled up into a deffensive position, eyes shut tight and shaking a bit from how tense she was.
"How was your fall?" Timmy bent down to her level, trying to be a bit less intimidating. "You can open your eyes again you know." She had tensed up more upon hearing him speak, but slowly followed what he said, opening an eye at a time.
"Pretty shocking right? I get it, you're scared. You're panicking. Very reasonable reactions." Tim smiled, leaning against an invisible wall of some kind. "So let's just get started-"
"Who are you people!?!" She interrupted, scooting back a bit to put distance between them. "I won't let you take me! This can't be the end!!" She had forced herself to her feet, trying to look big and strong.
"Relax, we're not here to do anything like that. I only have an offer for you." Tim remained calm, though Timmy was a bit shocked by her outburst.
"What do you want from me!?" She demanded, interrupting yet again. Tim sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"We'll be happy to explain if you could stop interrupting for one minute." Timmy scoffed slightly, the hint of sass in his voice loud and clear. "So calm down, okay? You're not dead and you're not going to be dead after this." Those words clearly meant something as he noticed her relax slightly. After some thought it did make sense, the poor girl probably thought she was dead. She had gotten beat pretty bad.
"Right… Right. No need to be rude about it." Tim gently smacked Timmy over the back of the head before speaking up again. "Let's get through introductions before we go any further." His voice was kind, gentle but clearly having force behind it. It reminded her of some kind of grandpa figure. He paused for a moment, waiting to see if she would interject. She did not so he continued. "My name is Tim, Tim the timekeeper." She watched him curiously but still said nothing so he gestured to Timmy.
"Names Timmy! Nice to meet ya!" He grinned, extending his hand for her to shake. It stayed there for a minute or so before he put it down, realizing she didn't want to shake. "I'm also a timekeeper. Sometimes folks refer to us as the CEO of Time." He spoke casually, shrugging as he did so. "Sounds to professional to me."  The two of them looked at her, awaiting an introduction. They stood in silence for a fair while before she finally moved to speak. At first it was quite quiet, barely able to be heard.
"Redd. It's Redd." She repeated, not quite looking at them. In fact she seemed to be staring right past them. "Now what do you need from me exactly.,,? Cause i'm not doing your bidding or anything!" Timmy couldn't help but laugh at that comment, which earned him yet another smack from Tim.
"Anyways," He cleared his throat, putting his hands in his pockets. "This was Tims idea so uhh… He can explain it." He gestured to the older man.
"Alright, now we're getting into the important stuff." Tim nodded, shifting from a relaxed position to a more professional one. 'As mentioned before, I have an offer for you. You've been fighting this rebellious cause of yours for a while now,"  Redd opened her mouth to say something, but stopped when he gestured for her to wait. "We will get to how I know about that in a moment or two, just let me finish. I want to assist you in your cause, because you truly have good intentions in your actions." He paused, waiting for a question or two.
"..why would you want to help me? Nobody else has." She eyed him with distrust. He understood her doubt, it was a pretty random offer.
"Because you have a point. Those Mafia should not have taken over your island the way that they did."
"So what would you want from me exactly?" Her arms were crossed, once again attempting to intimidate them. Timmy held back a snicker at it.
"Ah yes, that's where my full offer comes in. You already have quite a bit of knowledge about the Time-Pieces.-"
"Are those your doing!?!" She interjected, quickly covering her mouth afterward. "Sorry… Continue please."
"Don't worry about it." He smiled before continuing. "As I was saying, you have quite a bit of knowledge on the subject already. Most cannot even stay sane after coming in contact with one, let alone surviving after being exposed to the raw dust." She opened her mouth to respond again but he cut her off. "The first one you came into contact with shattered whilst you were playing with it, remember?" She nodded. "So clearly, there's something special about you. You have potential that others do not. So… I would like you to join our little team and I will help you with your mafia problem in return."
"...is it just the two of you? That doesn't seem like much of a team-"
"Oh no no no," Timmy piped in. "There's three more of us currently. You've already met two of them." He smirked, leaning back on his own invisible wall.
"I have,.?" Her brow furrowed as she took a moment to think hard about it. "Wait a minute… you mean those selfish little kids are part of a team that takes care of these powerful hourglass things-?!" She was shocked, why would he pick them? They were just children!!
"Yes they are, and they're quite good at it too." Tim smiled fondly. "And I know it may take some time, but I'm quite certain they will welcome you to the team. So, what do you say?" He held a hand out for her.
"Wait wait wait…" He was surprised by this, he kinda figured that it was pretty easy to understand. "You want me to collect these Time-Pieces… Even after all that I did?"
"Yes. I do. You had good reasoning behind your choices, you just got blinded by the potential power. Almost everyone is. Besides, I can see that you have at least some regret." Tim shrugged, still holding his hand out. "I know it's a lot to try and take in right now...but it will make more sense with time." He smiled more, awaiting her response.
"Were going to need to restart the line… so this is your only chance." Timmy pointed out. "If you don't take it, you go back to who you were before this. Everything will be the same as it was before they arrived."
"I don't want that…" She spoke softly, clearly musing to herself. "...what will i be doing if i accept?"
"You're going to become part of the field group!" Timmy hummed, leaning forward. "That means you get to be one of the explorers! Visiting all these cool places, honestly I'm kinda jealous of it all. Watching isn't the same as actually being there after all." He laughed at his own comment, shrugging afterward. "They will need to collect all the Time-Pieces here again, as they will return to being spread across the world. The only difference is that you will be working with them from the start, make sense?"
"I...i guess so…" Her hand trembled as she slowly reached to take Tims extended hand. This decision was final, she was sure of it… but anything would be better then the world she was living in before. Besides, he said he'd help return the island back to its former glory...it was worth the chance. She took his hand and shook it.
"Wonderful!!" Timmy clapped excitedly. "You might wanna close your eyes for this next part-"
"What-?" Timmy didnt awnswer, summoning this large grouping of Time-Pieces and smashing them against the platform. It released a blinding light. She could feel the entire area around her shifting, it was quite disorienting. She couldn't help but tighten her hold on Tims hand, trying to use him for stability.
When the feeling had finally subsided she found herself standing in a familiar looking spaceship. She could faintly hear people talking in a different room, she wasn't sure who it was though. It took her a moment to realize that she was still holding onto Tims arm, but she quickly let go when she noticed. He only smiled, amused by the response.
"I have one more thing actully," Tim started digging in his suit pocket, clearly looking for something. She didn't quite understand how something could be hard to find, it was just a pocket… But then again, this did seem to be some God of time so maybe she shouldn't question it to much. He found what he was looking for, pulling it out and holding it in a fist. "We can talk about changing it later, but for now," He bent down to her level, pulling her cloak a little closer. "You're going to need this." He latched the strange item on and stood up.
Once he was done she quickly looked down at it, inspecting what he had done. Instead of the golden medallion that was there prior, there was a similarly sized golden clock. It ticked softly, emitting a soft blue glow similar to the Time-Pieces themselves. She wondered what it was for, but figured she should question it for now. When she looked up to thank him, Tim had vanished.
It was just her now, standing in a large open hub room. She noticed the large window in the front of some type of control panel. She aproched slowly, listening and looking arounf go see if there was anything or anyone nearby. Nothing… So she peered through the glass.
Her entire world was in veiw. She could see the island she had lived on her whole life, the strange movie studio city, even the haunted forest she had followed them through. It was...oddly humbling. Everyone was moving on without her now, and it probably wouldn't change much if at all… She barly registered the sound of a door opening untill someone spoke up.
"So you're the newbie, aye?" This voice was new, she hadn't heard it before. It took some effort to pull away from the window and face the stranger. "Nice to meetcha." They smiled, dusting their hands off on their pants. "Why don't you and I go have a chat 'bout what we're gonna need to edit here, hm?"
This was a new feeling… But she was pretty sure she could get used to it. She nodded and went with them, taking one last glance out the window.
A fresh start… A new life, it was like she had been reborn.
