I absolutely adore night and light. I would really love to learn how hocus and yessie deals with the little voices in hocus head and the two half’s that make up his whole x

I know they’re not physical but if they could be I would bet light would be very cuddly lol

This is Hend x she’s an OC i made a little while ago, I realized I never actually made an oc for the pilot webcomic so I thought it’d be fun xx I might change her name later tho idk if I like it x

She’s an aquatic bot, she was made for deep sea exploration and rescue. (I’m genuinely considering changing her name to D.E.A.R /short for “deep sea exploration and recovery” what do y’all think?) this means she’s adept at traversing most any aquatic terrains regardless of depth, water pressure, lack of light and cold temperatures. Hend is mostly mute, mostly communicating in gestures and clicks and whirring noises, she does have some prerecorded messages but all they are for is introducing herself and stating her purpose. Regardless of this she is completely able to understand when people speak.

Hend is very energetic and kinda ditsy, prone to wandering off and acting on most impulses. She’s very animalistic and so she’s not the best with complex situations. However she’s friendly and very playful, unfortunately she’s not quite aware of her own strength and the limitations of others, kinda like really big dogs try to play with smaller animals. Due to this she had caused her creator tragic death while trying to play with him in the water.

i’ve been thinking about this video nonstop since the first time i saw it

the jaunty walk perfectly in time with the music. the tip of the hat the unaware or uncaring bystanders. the shaky camera with random zooming. the fact that this is seemingly happening in a park. this is peak media i can’t get over it

I know I have a bit of an obsession personally and I’ve become a tad hyper fixated on these two but I can’t help it! They have such a codependent and lowkey toxic relationship during the circus (post Marys death), it’s so fascinating x

I think Yessies control or how she won’t let people leave is a great way to show off her abandonment issues. I know this is more of an au because this isn’t how they work in canon but it’s fun to play with their backstory.

Hope y’all don’t mind if I go on another rant about these two.

I personally like to change the dynamic between Yessie and the other circus bots after Mary died. Where after she dies the circus starts to fail and go down hill, partly due to Yessie not really knowing how to do Mary’s job effectively, everyone grieving and the problem of circus’s going out of fashion. So after the circus starts going down hill, people start leaving and it gets to the point where even hocus asks Yessie to come with him and give up on the circus. Yessie refuses to stop the circus and is determined to fix it because she thinks it’s Mary’s last wish ‘the show must go on’ so she won’t leave but she is so panicked about even the idea of hocus leaving she using her control to physically prevent him from going. It’s very toxic and unhealthy but also sad. Yessie understands what she’s doing is wrong but she thinks she has no other options, she refuses to leave the circus and just can’t lose hocus too. Hocus understands why she’s doing it but at the same time he is deeply hurt by it.

It’s really interesting to go into more depth with their relationship even if this isn’t canon and closer to an Au

(Also can I just say that bones missed a huge opportunity but not linking Yessies ‘control’ to her spiral eyes. It feels so much more natural for a bot made to be a ringmaster to have an inherent ability to give commands and I think her using the spiral eye trope from movies works a little smoother then the weird red implants they get in canon)

Have some more flying colors ship x pilot/artman. It’s pretty fun drawing these two but I only realized as I finished I forgot to include the noticeable hight difference between the two of them, oops

I would loveeee to see pilot and artman interacting more, just goofing off and doing some silly shit. Ngl I do ship the hell outta them but I think them doing platonic stuff is endlessly wholesome.
