Reblogging this in case it case it helps someone with their finals!
How To Easily Remember the Unit Circle
I work in a walk-in tutor lab at my university and one of the other tutors showed me this a couple years back and it has changed my life.
First, you make a table that looks like this.

Then, go ahead and add in some nice denominators of 2 in every entry in the table.

Then give yourself some nice square roots on the numerators.

Alright – now we’re going to fill it in. The only value you have to remember is that sin(0)=0. So we put 0 in the numerator for 0 in the sine column. Then we just count up as we move down.

Then we do the opposite in the cosine column.

Then we simplify!

And voila – a beautiful unit circle table.

I’ve starting streaming on Twitch! What do I stream, you ask? Good question. Still trying to figure that out. Lately, I’ve just been streaming a bunch of chess, as I’m trying to improve, but I also play a lot of Fall Guys, Among Us, Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout NV, etc and those will likely end up on my channel at some point too. And maybe some math eventually...
I’d love it if you’d shoot me a follow if you think you’d be interested in watching!

OK I really wanted to avoid this but I have no other options.
I've moved out of my ex's house and my car has broken down less than halfway to where I'm going. I am stranded 10 hours away from my destination. I can BARELY cover the cost of another moving truck with what i currently have but it wouldnt leave me the money I need for my security deposit for the housing I had lined up nor would I have any money left over for food until my first paycheck with my new job. (for which I need the house bc its a work from home job)
I need $400 total
$200 for the security deposit and $200 for food and gas.
I know everyone is struggling right now but I have NO other options at this point please if you can help out ill be eternally grateful.

(pls ignore deadname I am desperate)

Happy International Podcast Day! Here are some math podcasts.
I’m including the Spotify links, but I’m sure you can find these elsewhere if you prefer!
Relatively Prime: Stories from the Mathematical Domain. I went to a live taping of this one at JMM in Denver and it was super enjoyable!
Breaking Math. It’s a podcast that aims to make math accessible to everyone and make it enjoyable.
Mathematically Speaking. This podcast explores mathematics, mathematical philosophy, and how that relates to the real world and our lives through the history of math.
My Favorite Theorem. I think this is one of the more popular math podcasts, but each episode they talk with a different mathematical professional about their favorite results.
Please reblog with other suggestions as I’m sure this is just a few of them!

There were some questions about this book on this post, and I wanted to share that the author of the book, Dr. Eugenia Cheng, is giving a talk and Q&A about the book today at 5 pm EDT. Here is the link (it’s totally free!): https://www.simonsfoundation.org/event/xy-a-mathematicians-manifesto-for-rethinking-gender/
