Pinned! :)

10 ways to sneak running into a busy schedule:
1. Get up early: Running before breakfast is a brilliant way to get used to running when tired plus when low on fuel (like the latter stages of a race). Even though it may be hard - it will be off your to-do list and cannot be put off until later. Your’ll thank yourself later for it!
2. Run to and from work: if the commute is the same distance as a training run then why not run it? If it is too long you could park your car further and run the last part?
3. Run during your lunch hour: studies show that people are more productive when they have left the office compared to those eating at their desk.
4. Take your kids/some kids with you
5. Run with your dog: your dog will be healthier and you can find a new dimension to your relationship.
6. Invest in a treadmill: if you cant run outdoors - why not indoors? You can never complain then that you don’t have the time. You can get treadmills for a cheaper price if you shop around - its a great way to get in those sessions that wouldn’t otherwise have happened!
7. Get a pen and paper: write everything down and see how much free time you have in your schedule - then look at what kind of runs you need to be doing and get those it. Commitment will be the key here to make sure training doesn’t = loss of social and relaxation time.
8. Socialise on the run: catch up with your friends on a run instead of coffee. It will give you a great sense of motivation! if you don’t have friends that run then meet some - join a run club - they aren’t all competitive and its a great way to move forward with your running ability.
9. Run to and from… the gym, the car shop, the shops, a friends, school, college, mail, see see friends - there are many opportunities to run juts waiting for you to notice them. This gives you health benefits but is also more economical than taking a car (but does mean that once you’ve reached your destination your’ll be in sweaty running gear)
10. Keep spare kit in the car: you never know when an opportunity to run may arise - if it comes randomly - you are ready!
