tell me ab the methods of engagement i wanna hear

"Cardbot engagements are a very private affair. During the engagement, the bot and their partner(s) are the only ones that should be present. Having an outsider there is a taboo, like walking in on someone naked.

The first step is a small dance, then the bots take out their connector cables from the small port on their necks. The cables are joined together in the middle to form an Arterial Connection. Then the sharing of thoughts, feelings, and memories can begin."

"After that is said and done and all partners are ready, they open up their spark chambers to reveal their sparks. This begins the process called Spark-merging(Not to be confused with the Transformers version of spark merging).

Spark-merging refers to the joining of each other's sparks and exposing each other to their innermost energy. This process is not only very intimate, but very dangerous. There's a risk of shocking your partners and potentially deep-frying the rest of their circuits. Bots with bigger size differences have ways of moving around this, such as energy dampeners, a protective film around the smaller spark, or using a magnet to absorb some of that extra charge.

Now, sparks do have a magnetic pull and will conjoin on their own. But for partners who want to take it further, they both hold the sparks together while trading innermost energy."

Record scoffed, picking up a vinyl that was hung on his wall. He examined it thoroughly, brushing off any speck of dust.

"Oh, Cathode! Haha, what are youuu doing here? You should be at your show. Why are you all the way this way?"

He rests his chin on the palm of his servo, swirling the ramune in the glass he was given.

*Heart moth placed down a couple of Ramune drinks.*

The cardbot looked down at the drinks, then back up at Heart Moth. Then back and forth a couple more times.

"Are you here to kill me? I would prefer a quicker death than poison."

Record looked up at the other cardbot, scrunching his nose.

"Record Scratch. Everyone on Machina knows me and I'm surprised you don't. And I'm not interested in any paradise I'm doing wonderful with my overinflated ego and constant delusions. What are you doing here? Is it important? I hope you're not here to waste my time."
