But it’s also, even in a world steeped in myths and legends, a wild thing to drop on someone. How do you respond to that?

You see Zuko processing it for a second. Like he can’t say nothing, because that would make it weird. He’s still fairly new to the gang and he wants to make good with these people, but he can’t say “what the fuck??” Because a) this is a kid’s show and b) see previous point. He has to know deep down that it happened somewhere in the North Pole and he was nearby when all of that happened but the full scope he probably isn’t aware of just yet. So like, he was sort of part of the problem? And he’s just a teenager, trying to bond with another teenager, so what do you say?
