When Bender sees Leela and Fry kiss in Related to Items You've Viewed, he angrily smashed a cabbage in his hands and in this movie he draws Fry's face on a cabbage and then smashes it 'cuz he's lonely Fry's spending time with his new gf instead of him.

the only way i'll accept fre//ela is if it's a dan vs type situation where Leela just accepts that Fry is also clearly dating Bender but doesn't feel her relationship to fry threatened by it because she likes her independence the way Elise is towards whatever Dan and Chris have going on,
