  What an answer. He thought for a moment before he spoke again, his curiosity remaining rather peaked.

  “Interesting, to be filled with such ideas but having many drawbacks preventing you from carving into a much more strange yet fresh experience, now that in itself is an idea; In a much more weird way to look at it.”

  “Truly? Perhaps the pain may indicate something of importance. Care to dive into that realm of mystery along with me?”

       “I can’t really say what it is, but something about you feels familiar in an upsetting way.”

Ari would spot Hanji facing away. The veteran looking out the window, watching whatever and whoever was down below. Hearing the little one’s voice however snapped her out of whatever thoughts she had. When their eyes met, she smiled. Even as Ari requested her help, she assumed it was a light matter and could be fixed easily. 

“What’s wrong, Ari? Did one of the snails go missing? Whatever you need, I’ll help you out.”

Within a couple of moments, a crimson coated male who  stepped into the room. The outfit he wore underneath looked very well prepared for combat, fitted with a harness around his chest and a peculiar symbol adorned above his belts.

Not to mention the black wing the was folded upon his back as well as he could before having a drape covering most of it, like he had some sort of baggage with him.   The man gently eyed Ari with a look of concern, considering what he meant by help wasn’t in the need for such an uproar and she definitely didn’t need to run off and make such a little fuss.

 His eyes rose for moment to capture a glance of a female, clearly by how she looked and her placement, she definitely looked like she had fair authority. The faint memory of what she did mention to him about his current abnormality the was out of his back made him quite cautious but not rude, nonetheless.

  “Well then, this is peculiar.” His voice was very calm but his hand gripped that drape with more force, not wanting his little secret to be exposed.

“Big talk, Genesis, but even an untrained infantry man could see you can barely wield that sword right now, and if you want to get any stronger I need some ethers and access to proper medical tools.” She gave him an unimpressed look.

Her frown deepened a bit. “We can revisit this matter of betrayers and vengeance LATER. Right now we need to get you and Angeal out of here. Far away from them, and far away from ShinRa.”

With that she pulled a rifle from her back that she took off one of the less fortunate infantry. Pulling back the bolt and cocking it, she stood at the ready. “I promised myself that i’d do what it took to protect you boys. I don’t plan to hand Angeal over to ShinRa or whoever these others are, and I don’t plan to do the same for you.”

She gave a scowl as she kept a sharp eye out, the sound of a heli faintly cutting through the cold air. “I may not be driven by vengeance but as far as i’m concerned the bulk of the science division can rot. They’d cut you and Angeal apart if given the chance. But I am the Nibel wolf and…”

She pulled out her phone again and quickly snapped a photo before sending a few messages. “I have a reputation to uphold for keeping my boys alive and healthy. Think what you will of me, your survival is my priority as well. Congrats on your and Angeal’s resurrections by the way. ShinRa will be limited in what they are able to do publicly without sparking a full on riot now.” A familiar smile from her, he hadn’t seen in ages.

“Do you remember when we saw the stage adaption of Loveless, Genesis? Just the two of us? It was the day before you were to go to be sent to Wutai.  I wanted to do something special for you because I didn’t know if you’d ever come back alive. That it might be the last time I saw you.” She gave a soft chuckle.

“Of course, you hated it. No surprise there. I should have known you wouldn’t be that wild about something which took those liberties… but that moment and certain lines always stuck out for me. Perhaps it was how the actors delivered it… perhaps it was just how relevant if felt at the time… but I never forgot.”

  Teeth clenched while him just keeping himself up was enough to begin to wire him down, his breath now quickening a little while the magic on his blade now dissipated.    His eyes closed for a moment, taking in the information and her own side mention of that play. Genesis could feel his free hand clench the air and then it started to gently light itself on fire.

  “You’re correct, i do despise improper adaptations of such a tale.” Genesis said with an odd chuckle, even melting into a full blown laugh for a solid couple of seconds. This demeanor could come to a shock to anyone who really knew anything about Genesis but this was peculiar even for him.    After a few moments, he collected himself and the fire that remained within his hand has now died alongside his laughter. Genesis then turned a little to side eye her with a light smirk upon his lips.

 The black wing he had on his left side also relaxed itself a tad, now simply allowing it to rest upon his back but the extra weight was still a fair hindrance for him to handle while he could barely even hold his blade.

    “Fine, i’ll play along.”

  He knew that his actions of wanted revenge or fighting right now will prove very little for him and he knew the scheme he had planned perhaps may take a permanent detour at this rate.   The crimson coated male now weakened the distance between the two, now awaiting for her further instructions.

  Icy blue hues looked up from the book he held in his hand, a near instant smile creasing upon his lips once his eyes found the culprit of such a disturbing voice.   “You’d be surprised of what i can accomplish, remnant.”

  He stood up, closing his book while his wing lightly unfolded from his back and flapped, the crimson coated male glaring at the man with little intent of friendly conversation.   “My journey birthed results, from what i learned about that little incident within Midgar; You were just a moment too short before you could actually accomplish something.”
